Thats Jenks returning back to his club early as well, Glass sure knows how to pick them.

A total clear out of loan players will suit me fine.

Is there any limit to how many loan players you can have at any one time?

At least he's getting rid of them when he finds out they aren't up to scratch...McInness would have kept them for the rest of the season and looked to bring them back next season.

I believe it's a maximum of 5 at any point in time (plus maybe an emergency goalkeeper if needed?)

The fact that we brought in a winger/forward, a creative midfielder (supposedly) and a box to box midfielder on loan and they were all relative failures, it's little surprise we have only scored 25 goals in 20 league games. Managers ultimately live or die by the quality of players they bring in and unless Glass improves his strike rate from recruitment that will eventually cost him his job as even Cormack won't put up with mid table mediocrity forever.

At face value Polvara looks a potentially good signing but time will tell. Clearly we need more than just him this window to see an improvement on our performances even if somehow we hold on to Ramsay/Ferguson/Hedges.

That would make more sense given the praise that Glass has given him after recent performances.

I heard bits of an interview with him on the radio yesterday. Apparently for him it was a choice between basketball and football and he seems to be a bit of an all-rounder. Maybe he has seen some of our games from last season and decided that our football was similar to his basketball!? He’s six foot four and quite athletic from what I’ve seen of him on YouTube but we’ll have to wait and see what his football is like!

I think this is exactly the type of signing we need as Stephen Glass has challenged his players to rocket up the table in the second half of the season according to the P&J.

I wonder, does getting from 6th to 4th or 3rd constitute rocketing ?
