Your right Mick! Many will lose the will to live soon! The USA though more relaxed than the UK with not the same hysteria in the news and many have attitudes - what will be - will be - which I get completely. Omicron ruined our Christmas as I contracted it despite being triple jabbed.

Don't forget Flurona that has appeared over here.
They will play this out for year's, it makes a fortune for pharmaceutical and test kit companies and the government has never had so much power over the population.
A Scandinavian scientist has said that the worst of Covid is over, Omicron is weaker, it will peak around the end of this month and everything should be back to normal by Spring.
Of course it will only get back to normal if people stop believing the bulls hit.
Even Boris has said that hospital cases and death's are declining.
Every year the hospitals come under pressure for seasonal Flu. Doctors surgeries tell you to stay at home if you have it.
Lucky we haven't had any for two years isn't it?

Good one Des! Never had the flu - open windows and fresh air is best thing for you!

No hysteria in the US and attitude is - it is what it is and they take their chances

I have never had the Flu or the Flu jab. A drinking buddy has the jab every year, spends three days in bed after he has had it, and then tells everyone he is glad he's had it because he doesn't want to become ill.🤔
Do you remember the character Brian Glover used to play in Porridge?

Never had the flu either but have had the jab for the past three years. No reaction from that either. My wife has had the flu twice, really badly, when she was younger. She was poorly for a fortnight each time. I slept in the same bed but was fine. I think that possibly people have different weak spots in their make up which makes them susceptible to certain viruses. Just a thought.

I’ve had flu once, thankfully over New Year 1999-2000 so that I was able to escapee the party.

It was the most ill I have ever felt and I said at the time that if I’d been 75-80+ it would probably have killed me.

I was catching winter chest viruses every year through my 40’s and 50’s so I started having the flu jab and I now haven’t had a winter virus since that first flu jab.

People haven’t got a clue until they get proper flu,it really p e e s me off when I hear people say they’ve got the flu when they’ve actually got a really heavy cold!

Proper flu absolutely wipes you out, I was very ill for about 10-14 days and it took me a further month to get back to normal.

No wonder there’s a shortage of tinfoil in Harrogate and Kingswinford!

You're spot on there mick. Never realised how bad real flu was until my wife had it. She couldn't raise her head off the pillow. Doctor actually came to the house, she was that poorly! As you say, with most people it's just a heavy cold that they've got.

I had to be helped up from my chair when I needed the loo Leicester, I’ve never felt so ill and lifeless.

I didn’t eat solid food for the peak week, I was throwing up at the drop of a hat.

I lived on Lucozade for a fortnight.

If I hadn’t had this 22 years ago I’d have been far more blasé about original Covid but this served as a warning.

I was a very fit 38 year old at the time and it just slaughtered me.

I think you are spot on with different people's weak spots. I never picked up any childhood illnesses despite all my friends going down with them. Some people tend to catch everything that's going.
The thing about vaccines and antibiotics are they are effective for the first one or two jabs, but if you keep having them your immunity system begins to rely on them, and a vitrus or bacteria will mutate to get around them. We have seen it before with the flesh eating disease that anti biotics had no effect on.
I have never had Flu, I hope I never do, I know people who have had it really bad.
