A bit different, they were in the lower leagues at the time.

The reason we have signed Eriksson was that Mark Ogren would have known that Benji would be signing a pre contract with someone and therefore would undoubtedly do a deal to offload him in January for a fee, personally I hope Rangers fail and he goes elsewhere and I wish him well especially if we get a 15% sell on clause in the contract.

I personally can't see Benji going to The Rangers if it means he is going to sit on the bench...the lad is too ambitious! I also have no worries about playing him if he has signed a deal with anyone else as he seems professional enough to not down tools and I am sure he would want to start at a new club with a decent season behind him. The lad has earned his move away and will be the model for how we should be bringing players into this club...work hard, train hard, become good and you will earn a move away to a bigger payday!
Personally, I reckon he will go to the championship in England...and he will eventually end up in the EPL.

The BBC are on about Southampton too, surely a no brainer to go there?

hearing with Watt we have offered the following but well still want a 'big' fee

A player and cash - rejected

A player on loan - rejected

We should get him signed pre-contract, it would improve our negotiating position no end.

Fcuk them then. He's not that good that we need to be breaking the bank and shelling out freebies for the sake of 5 months. Bring Shankland in for 5 months instead.

I think we have, have not? I'm assuming it's not been announced out of due courtesy to his current team.

I can see this ending up being a deadline day move
