Keep doing what you're doing pal, you're doing fine. It's not a chore I would relish. Skip read is my motto, do it all the time
especially if someone is ' grinding your gears ' either that or stand against a brick wall and bang your head slowly around about twenty times, that should do the trick.

All is not lost though, there's always hope, if Ross Stewart gets injured Tuesday night Lee Johnson will be on the phone to Will Grigg asap. I hope Freddie Ladapo goes asap, don't bank on it though. Anyone coming in needs to be better than the one going out. Grigg as it stands for second striker just for now. JJ will get his chance.

My opinion if I'm allowed to say this re. Grigg you can't get out what's not there. He looks to me on the downward slope next stop less competitive football.

Surprised that we've managed to keep a a thread without it being moved into a mega-thread. Nothing more annoying than just one thread for everything. 🤫

Regarding the strikers, if we have cover on wing backs then Ogbene or Miller could be an option up front to run at opponents. Though we don't have a suitable RWB to cover, Sadlier and Harding can't do it.

Sunderland have bigger problems than worry about grigg. Wigan have asked the EFL to extend the season so they can fit in the games and (where have we heard this before) save the integrity of the league. 😁

If Miller is fit from his hamstring injury then he may just pick both him and Ogbene.
It's a chance you have to take and will leave us open if both don't track back.
He can always bring more defensive wing-backs on second half. Still plenty of options, I rate Hakeem Odoffin, could make a decent player.
    Smith is the main man.

Grigg isn't anywhere near match fit. Only way to get match fit is by playing games. I say stick with him for a few more games until this fiasco with Ladapo is sorted. Like I said earlier JJ will get his chance to impress. Grigg is only here till the end of the season, it's not as if we will be signing him unless he takes a huge cut in salary.

One feature of picking Grigg is that it reduces the chance of playing hoofball.

With Smith and Ladapo or Smith and Kayode there’s a tendency to lump the ball at them in the air.

From what we seen of Griggs so far, i wouldn't want him next season at any cost. He's not shown tons of his earlier career abilities and he's only getting older, prone to injuries and slower, (bearing in mind the length of contract he'd ask for)...........and he's not got much speed now.
His movement to create space and open things up for others is something FL will never have, could JJ learn off him this season, hopefully.....................UTM.
