As a youngster it was football and cricket. I loved playing and watching both. Went to grammar school where it is was rugby. Not interested but gradually got into it. It is great if you are playing in a team with decent players but not so otherwise; it is OK to watch. I don’t go out of my way to watch tennis but it is fun to play. I do like Rugby Q, I forgot that one, but only the internationals. I watch them around the pub. The six nations again next month.
Footballers would do well to take a leaf out of Rugby player's books, the maturity of them make footballers look like spoiled brats.
I went to watch England v Wales a few years ago, the kick of was 15.45. I told my wife I would be back when the game finished. I got back about one thirty in the morning.
There was an FA Cup tie on after the Rugby and after that the pub had booked a band for the night.🙂
