Rumours that, of all clubs, Leeds might be our "knight in shining armour". They are said to want Knight at £8M. If that's money up front then we are "solvent" for the season, can sign freebies up to the max number of players the EFL have allowed us for a £4.5K a week max wage.

Am I alone in hoping the yorkies come through?

If any new owners are out there
To let Derby's best assets leave for peanuts just to releive the wage bill is just daft

If we get a prefered bidder in to stop a fire sale of players, the new owners would instantly gain millions
and if we could get some of the assets to sign a contract extensions your talking an instant 50% value increase

Surely any new investor would realise this

It baffles me that if there is genuine interest, this must be a factor

unless there is no genuine interest and the club is certainly no more

eddy, you seem to be forgetting the stumbling block. The EFL has said we have to sort out the Boro and Wycombe claims before they will sanction a sale. To do that we'd need maybe as much as £50M...... or a sum much closer to zero.

Boro and WWFC HAVE to be sorted before any preferred bidder can be named.

I think it is time for all Rams fans to launch legal actions against Middlesbro, imagine them having to deal with, say, 25,000 legal actions landing on their doorstep for, let's say, unfair trading?

Your area of expertise, GP. If you’re remotely serious then tell us how, after all yesterday’s petition rapidly reached 35,000 signatures and I’m sure the character behind that (Adam Boddington) - who appears to be a thoroughly genuine chap - would be interested in leading any such campaign.

Nope, I agree. He's a decent player, but not essential. Sadly for us, survival as a club has to come before anything else.

... and getting 8M for Knight would mean we didn't have to sell anyone else this season.

How can we possibly sort out them claims in a few days

or is it that a new owner would take the risk their claims are fantasy

Any new owner is not going to enter into something where there are unquantified possible liabilities. So although the claims are unlikely to get anywhere, the fact that they are lodged is impeding the sale. The EFL appear unable or unwilling to do anything about them, though how either of these clubs can take legal action outside the rules of the league without using internal processes is bizarre and highly likely to fall short.

They can only be seen as vexatious, but unless a solution is found, then we seem to be at stalemate.
