Cool heads win the day Animal. Thinking things through is the most important thing. They can dismiss and joke about the group but only the people that are minded to will listen.

It's very early days for the group Arby and as I've pointed out to Jules at least they are prepared to get off their backsides and do something .

It's the instant dismissiveness which gets me the most .

Let's hear what they have to say , how they intend to go about it and who these prospective new owners are before we judge them is my opinion .

Aren't we all keyboard warriors Jules including yourself when we moan and grown about the club behind our devices and do not much more than that .

The Group may not come to anything and I wouldn't disagree with you at this stage but at least they are prepared to move away from keyboard and do something about the state of the club currently .

Good luck to them in their quest to find new owners. My comment was aimed at the stubbornness of the owners, not negative toward the protesters.

I agree with a point you made earlier Animal about the Supporters Trust "leaders", who happen to be also the BBS leaders, being not too happy with any group being on what they assume is their turf as the only true and acceptable voice of the fans.
An amazing amount of denigration and belittling of the Conway Out Group has been written on the BBS site.

The Supporters Trust has been a weak failure in representing fans over many years and it's membership is only the low number it is because of fans wishing to be members of the now defunct Redfearn's Bar.

The Supporters Trust/BBS "leaders" and followers should welcome another view from another fans' group rather than being derogatory towards them.

Anything that helps to lead to these arseoyles (present owners) going has my support. The arseoyles will of course welcome any division amongst the fans and will exploit it.

I don't know so much Jules , bad publicity isn't great for the strategy of buying clubs across a number of European league's .

With unrest growing at the vast majority of them it's likely the poor publicity could harm their brand to the extent nobody will be prepared to sell to them anymore .

My gut instinct tells me what ever it is they are trying to achieve won't be accomplished with just 6 clubs .

Holding on to a number of clubs in their stable who haven't progressed one jot and are losing money by the week doesn't make good business sense in my opinion .

Links are starting to be formed with supporters of their other clubs and as a result the pressure will mount .

Cutting their losses isn't to be dismissed in my opinion .

I'd tend to move towards your view if we were the only club they owned and they'd invested a fair chunk of money in it and would be prepared to ride out a storm in the hope of seeing a return on a sizeable investment .

If they are seen to be charlatans which they are then their business plan isn't worth shyte going forward .

A coming together is the win - win outcome SB as you say .

Perhaps the Supporters Trust should ask themselves a question .

If they were doing such a grand job of representing the fans , meeting with the CEO and so forth then how come a Protest Group had to be formed ? .

Clearly a good number of fans weren't satisfied with their approach either .

Whilst the Protest Group won't speak for everybody and it never will neither does the Supporters Trust .

On that basis then a coming together seems to be the smart play in my opinion .

I might also kindly suggest it wasn't the Supporters Trust who discovered that £750k of the club's money had gone missing and used to pay for the club as an instalment .

That was discovered by two accountants who simply post on bbs who know how to read a set of business accounts .

Nobody would have been any the wiser if those two bbs posters hadn't raised the red flag .

I wouldn't go as far as to say that's a big fail on the part of the Supporters Trust but more an indication of their limits as a representation of the fans .

Patrick found he hadn’t the money to sustain a Championship club - and I can’t see any Barnsley supporter being wealthier than him.

What would be the ideal ownership team would be James and the Indian director.
Heart and soul of the club coupled with some financial clout.
Other than that - I can’t see any other option.

It would only need PMG to loosen the purse strings a bit and change things slightly to completely change the fortunes at Barnsley.

But do the directors need to be actually told that - when they face a loss amounting to ££££££millions as a direct result of how they have managed the club this season?
