Pity Olsson isn’t around to pull his ponytail.

Andy Carroll, the one season wonder that was so long ago I can't remember! My Gran would be a better option. (She died in 1979)

As posted on the ‘Oh Carol’ thread … Let’s hope he will generate some commitment within the team. I think he’ll give us 100%. He’s certainly was a handful.
I really wasn’t expecting anyone in this window post the Dike move, and clearly there are player/manager issues which may deter prospective players ?

To be fair, I wasn't expecting anyone so Carol certainly better than nowt. Think he will give it a go too-but how will he fare under Val's style of management and play is another thing...

Oh dear dear dear! Perhaps we’re in the wheelchair football cup?

We need some pace up front, not a statue. I thought that we were in for Liam Delap?

I quite like this signing. He offers us something we need, we play direct football and we have small players playing in our front 3.

He's also match fit as he's been at Reading. I think he'll add to our game and be a goal threat.

More importantly, he's better than anything we have available right now.

I’m with you in this one, firstly the Reading fans rate him and wanted him to stay, his current goal scoring record in a really bad team is 2 in 8 with a couple of worldies against Fulham ruled out for offside, compared to Hugill and Zohore it’s like signing Ronaldo! No real risk to the Albion, yes it’s a bit of a Hail Mary but one that might work.
