IF we bring in McDonald, then it’s going to be one of those where it’s either a stroke of genius or an unmitigated disaster. Unfortunately at our level, we don’t have the resources to bring in absolute top quality and there is going to be a degree of risk but I do worry about his ability to stand up to week on week top level football after everything he has been through. Looking good in training is one thing, doing it on the park is another. But so long as the wages aren’t mental, then we’ll just have to take the Club’s judgement that he’s worth the gamble…………

if we've just bagged a 6 figure sum for someone who 1 - wanted away 2 - been very poor then that is some bit of business

McDonald coming in would be ideal and IMO an upgrade on Fuchs, don't think some on here realise how good a player McDonald really is.

I am certainly one of those who doesnt know anything about McDonald, but while he is in recovery, it cannot be how good he is, it has to be how good he was and might be one again.

Sure i voiced concerns regarding Mulgrew and his injury history and happy to be proved wrong so far, and am willing to give McDonald a chance. I would though rather a younger player was brought as we seem to be moving away from what our club is supposed to be about.

TBF you’ll know more than most on taking from a Club.

Think you'll find 3 out of that 4 put a lot of money in... where as the other one and the Big Man haven't spent a penny....be interesting to see how much United get for Fuchs or if the sports agency just get the whole lot💰💰💰

Apparently there is every chance he has made a full recovery - he was a brilliant player but is 33. Still be good for a year or so.
