Good to watch. I hope entertaining football from the players he coaches and success for Notts keeps him here for a good while.
I have explained this several times to you, Notts this season and last are not title contenders under Burchnall and whether there is another 20, 50 or another 100 games never will be in my opinion . that is the hardcore stats as they stand up to this moment
I have explained that Ardely should have been replaced at the end of the season, if he failed a second time in the play offs, with a more experienced manager with some success at this level, not somebody like Burchnall who was unproven, with no previous experience of the National league, or League 2,
You said judge him at the end of the season, based of Burchnall last season and this season so far , i said he will finish in the lower play offs maybe even lower , proving me to be right from the start , and if most likely he fails to promote us, what excuses will you come up with then to continue to justify Burchanll, when a better choice of manager in the first place would have been far more effective
Yes i agree with you that the owners vision for the club is sustainable, as a national league side , who barely scrapes the play offs each year, but by the law of averages hope we will eventually be promoted through them
💤 You’ve explained nothing, you babble on. The key word in your post is opinion. You suggest hardcore stats, again, please share? You won’t, you’ll ignore.
‘Ardley should have been replaced at the end of the season’. Again, your opinion. Doesn’t make it right, as my opinion doesn’t make me right.
You haven’t been proved correct, neither of us have, the season hasn’t finished.
Again, I’m not aware that I’ve come up with any excuses. Please give detail?
Currently the club isn’t sustainable, that’s the vision… to achieve sustainability. I think you’ll find the owners have put in significant sums of money to keep the club operating. The plan, if you don’t know, is to develop players and sell for a profit. To do this you need a good coach, which I believe we have. The higher the league status, potentially the greater the profits from the model(Brentford). Therefore the owners wouldn’t have to put there hands in their pockets. So, it’s in their interests not to languish in the NL.
Anyway, as much as I want promotion. I’m quite enjoying the ride and the way NCFC is currently being run.
Over to you for more waffle.
By the way, you never answered, how many games have you attended this season?
Davy, Davy, Davy you are typing lots and lots of words since your return and some of it standouts out for all the wrong reasons. You wanted Ardley sacked after relegation, you blame him for relegation, you wanted him to have till end of second season in NL, you wanted some experience instead of the IB gamble. We know, we've all read it dozens and dozens of times. It's like you are trapped in the past, and that's all you can focus on.
So let's look forward...
Why do you think we will barely scrape into the playoffs? Which season have we done that? Certainly not the last 3 playoff campaigns of which 2 were under the current owners stewardship. So that means you think we will get worse and worse under the current owners. Fair enough, noted.
You think we will finish in lower play offs, or not in the playoffs at all. Which? After the past two results well that's 2/3rds of the likely outcomes covered lol. Come on Davy, in the playoffs or out where do you think we will finish this season? Really simple question pick one.
As I've said many many times before it's easy for someone to say a manager won't get us promoted (it happens rarely at any football club) it's even easier to say told you we wouldn't win the title (happens even less) etc. Therefore it's also easy to say a manager was the wrong appointment and conveniently not suggest a realistic name (not withstanding the fact they may not want the job, may want too much money etc). Why some folk still can't grasp this concept or maybe more accurately don't wish to is beyond me.
You can't assume the alternatives would have resulted in more positive or negative results. It's guesswork. People always seem to feel that the player not chosen to start would have automatically produced a better performance than the one that was selected and is being criticised. Sadly it doesn't work like that, years of watching football tells you that. Often they are on the bench or in the stands for a very good reason.
So playoff finish or not?
