So in effect the EFL are supporting the legal action by Boro and Wycombe? How can they? These claims and thats all they are claims, can't be classed as creditors, because at this time there is no actual money owed, so for the EFL to give them a status over and above other actual creditors, such as suppliers etc. is utterly wrong!

In any normal case of a company going into administration, even if you had sued and won, you wouldn't get preferential creditor status, if you had just lodged a legal claim, then you'd get nothing!

There can be no clearer example of a governing body that is unfit for purpose, which unfortunately is the case with many such bodies, they seem to forget what their purpose is. Certainly this has done nothing for their credibility and makes football a laughing stock.

Couldn't agree more. I can't see anything being agreed to until the 11th hour, with Boro and Wycombe after their pound of flesh, the EFL self preservation blinding their actions, and bidders not knowing the size of debt their bidding for - nobody will buckle until they have to.
Whilst the administrators are busying themselves with club operations, I do wonder what they're doing to move this forward.

    The light is getting dimmer.

I can see why the administrators have ignored Boro and Wycombe, any move towards a compromise risks legitimising the claim, of course they are willing to meet, they are vultures looking for flesh, but why would Derby give them anything? This is basically blackmail, being held to ransom and they should be politely told to go away and do the decent thing and frankly its got to the stage now when I'd rather the club fold and be reborn than give in to these two morally bankrupt chancers.

Did I read it right that there is a suggestion by the EFL that £7 million would settle it? If that's true that's an outrageous suggestion and further drags the EFL reputation lower. Conniving with some clubs to screw money out of another.

Heres a suggestion, why not pay some of the fine they levied on QPR for cheating and in the process getting promoted rather than Derby to Boro and Wycombe? Honour satisfied all round and we can get back to football.

Great idea that. Then we can sue Boro for taking out a ridiculous action against us and making us lose so many young players who we’ve invested heavily in.

Incidentally, I believe that this afternoon Morris has challenged Boro and Wycombe to take him personally to the High Court.
    Better late than never.

Yes rA, I see he has climbed from under his stone to effectively issue a challenge to be fought in the High Court! Turds at ten paces would be better!!
    They're both full of ****!

Lol! You never know mac...it might prompt something to happen though God knows why he’s left it till this stage to do something. How many have we lost in the window? Is it nine now, including some rare young talent as he fiddled while Derby burned?

I'd be surprised if the EFL in particular bite!
As it stands they are Judge and Jury, the HC tends to be evidence based - that might not suit their agenda!

I'm not sure someone can just come in and say I owe you the money not them so take me to court for it and leave them alone. It was Derby the company that failed to meet FFP not Mel Morris(I won't use the cheated word as everyone seems to be jumping the that bandwagon now), be interesting to see how the EFL react to it, if they did I don't see Gibson nevermind Couhig fancying their chances in court with the cost involved if they lose

I recommend you rephrase that suggestion of Mel fiddling in the same sentence as young talent :-(
