Great result, two good goals. Better. Not the finished article to be brutally honest but some encouraging signs. When we show a bit of composure and look up we just look like a different side, need to do that more often.

Watt has brought the bit of swagger we were missing.

And there tonight is why i have been so frustrated!

I cannot give Watt man of the match though as i thought that should have been Niskanen! But there were many who did very well and Ross Graham continues to impress, Harkes even played quite well, and Smith played as well as ive ever seen from him.

But what a first game after what Kevin McDonald has been through and im sure even the brick wall he ran into around 60 minutes felt it!

The Tony Watt song isn't ours, I think we should "give it up"

" I wish I could be like Tony Watt" is more aggressive, but then again the chorus is not as good, especially the "fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa" lyrics. Scottish refs might think we are encouraging him to dive, hence mair bookings and possible sending affs. Oh well

I actually think Niskanen is decent if he's given the ball to feet in space. So often he's getting the ball in the air, that's no good at all for a player like him. That's not his strength and it makes him look bad. No wonder he looks like WTAF was that at times. Yes, he does make mistakes (they all do) and his first touch at times can be poor (as with them all) BUT on the deck in space he can deliver. It was his cross from the left that Harkes nodded in at Celtic park and Watt anticipated his cross tonight for his goal.

Courts needs to tell the players to get him in space more often. At 12" high not 5 foot.

Much much better tonight. Attacking intent makes a massive difference.

Niskanen was excellent and the formation worked due to his pace, some excellent runs and he defended well too.

Back 3 rock solid, Butcher and Graham absolutely strolling it right now and Edwards winning everything in the air although that one dodgey moment with the ball at his feet but we can forgive that.

Mcdonald should be proud of himself, his presence in midfield was a welcome addition. Great goal from Levitt who was a little more like himself but still not the Levitt we know, great goal though!

Buzzing for Watt to get his goal, he battles so well, played well tonight mcnulty give him his due he was no bad, ran like fcuk Clark on the bench is definitely the way to go imo.

I think Kev McDonald could be a good bit of business for us. He is clearly rusty but did ping about some cracking passes. I think his on field coaching will help TC out as well, with a newbie manager...he needs as much help as possible. I know for a fact that he has told Mulgrew to kind of act as a player/coach...having another experienced head will help that.
Great team performance and a special mention for Butcher who seems to have realised that he is just as effective doing the simple stuff well and not just being angry!
McNulty however...I am beginning to feel sorry for him. It's just not working out for him. His UTD stint was kind of summed up when he went to clear the ball at the end...missed it and nearly kicked himself in the face! I hope that he can get a couple of goals soon as there is still a goalscorer in there..but by Christ its doing a great job of hiding!

I would usually fully agree with that, but you did see how many headers Niskanen won today against Mugabe?

Every player has to try and win his fair share of headers but that isn't how you'll get the best out of Niskanen. Same with McNulty to be fair to McNulty. We're still pumping too many aimless balls forward.

    But some better signs tonight.

Crazy isn't it. Sub 5k crowd is a worry though.
