Then why drop him? A regular starter before all this and knocking in goals (missing a few as well btw!). To invoke the 1 year extention is sensible........he ain't going for nowt!
Its no use warne being disappointed with the leak and a few MM are blaming ladapo agent as I was told the Tuesday night when we played, think it was Crewe... I can gtd it wasn't me who leaked it 😁. The club should get the info then release the information before leaks happen. They had plenty of time from the Sunday to the leak day Thursday.

I’d be looking to pay that bit extra to Smith to retain his services as he’s clearly good enough for the Championship. Others can moan all they like. Warnes in charge and he sees fit what to pay who.
The players are surely on a what division contract, ie - wages go up if promoted to championship,
go down if relegated to league one.
One question - do the players get a bonus with promotion, I know at one time there used to be a
pool of money, in which players & staff benefitted from a promotion, does this still exist ?.
But could Tony Stewart decide to increase the wage structure across the board on contracts, thus
keeping all players happy, the club does not want to have a big differential in salaries, if so could
cause a split in the team.

There were also days when things like meat hampers were offered as incentives to win promotion and were actually appreciated by the players. I doubt if that's the case these days when even mediocre players like the cat kicker are on 125 grand a week.

Why should the club release the information? What would the benefit be?
As soon as it became known that Ladapo had asked for a transfer he became unpopular with a section of supporters and the outcome would have been the same if the club had made the announcement.

Meat Hampers, when I was a young-un, we had to borrow next doors joint to make gravy.

Pop round next door for a joint these days and more than likely you'll get a different thing!

To stop warne being disappointed the leak got out.
My point was. The info was always going to come out so why didn't the club release it.
warne has been on football long enough to know this info doesn't stay quiet for long so why he's commented "he's disappointed" is a bit strange
