    I accept...

This season is as good as over now. The board doesn't know what Ambition means. Won't spend, doesn't appoint anyone with any long term goal even when they give a long term contract. It all means nothing. I can't see us going down but I also can't see any real change until well after Bruce has gone. We needed to build anyway when we came down but instead of keeping that in mind we go 10 steps backwards to achieve the same thing, I'm okay with it, that's the way it has been for years. Were not the only club like it.

Soz boingy I don’t accept it’s over at all. You might be right of course but come on there’s a third of season left. I agree we have to put a 3 or 4 game winning run together to achieve say 74/75 points., but let’s have a damn good go at it. Might get to the stage were draws won’t be good enough..rovers,Luton,boro, swans.need at least 9 points.

Decades of predictability don't give me an ounce of confidence in this season. But that's ok. It is what it is. Anyway going up is the worst thing for this club right now. Were not ready, and won't be for some time.

We need some points on the board Boingy, of that there's no doubt. In the meantime here's a few points for you to consider on a personal level.

    1. Put the knife back in the knife drawer.

    2. Close the knife drawer.

    3. Step away from the knife drawer.

    4. Never open the knife drawer again when thinking of all things West Bromwich Albion 😊 .

Long way to go, but I don’t think the board can be accused of a lack of spending anymore. After covid hit, no clubs spent and most lost their best players without too much spend in return.

Blackburn - lost Armstrong but didn’t spend the money

QPR - sold Eze, the money not spent

Bournmouth - sold Danjuma and spent less than half that amount

All performing better than us. Fulham are the only one that have a negative net spend in the league as far as I’m aware.

We must have the highest wage bill in the league or close to it. Managers and technical staff should be held more accountable than the owners IMO.

Well said Matt I’ve been saying that all season
Yes Lai isn’t the best chairman but we can’t use that as an excuse to not do well
Managers should improve players not just buy new ones

Long way to go but I would put money on it that Bruce will get us into the play offs! We need a result against Blackburn though that’s for sure! I would get O’Shea back in quickly and start HTG and let Livermore rot on the bench then when he can return!

Wouldn't do any harm at all having those two back. At least I can relax watching them now, not expecting anything. Its funny how this league changes, there were only 3 teams in it for half of the season.

Looks like Fulham and Bournemouth will walk automatic now Boingy. I think we will get in the play offs and still a failure if we don’t but fear for us with the likes of Middlesbrough coming on strong! Bruce needs to find a creative midfielder quick in my opinion and that’s what we are hugely lacking! Why buy Dike without a fast and creative midfielder! Needs to try HTG quickly in there and let Livermore no where near the team again
