It’s a no for me , a lazy and uninspiring appointment.

We should either look to promote from within for rest of season or appoint someone short term with a view to using this time to get in the right candidate for next season.

Totally agree Ross would be a lazy appointment that would ultimately back fire on the club

One word if he gets the job

    Disapointing

    This is the problem.

    Do we need "steadying? "

If we don't actually lose tomorrow night then the season may well be over but we're in little danger of relegation.

So, given that it was boredom that stopped me going in the first place,

    I'm for another experiment

Look for an Austrian or a Czech who will have a good feel for the German and East European markets.

Obviously the weegie press will be waiting to pounce but bugger a safe boring appointment.

During the Livi game Steve Tosh said something like

“If you’re targeting 3rd you need to be looking at how Hearts are doing against the others.”

    There lies the problem.

Most of the candidates being discussed could get us top 6 I suspect. End up with a Farts/Farmers hybrid we have been watching for way too long.

So we gamble (again) and get a Manager from elsewhere that might just deliver what Glass couldn’t

Might have to kiss a lot of frogs.

Could be some bargains around in the Ukraine at the moment?

I've said for ages, without an overhaul of the club's infrastructure, the new manager is limited in what he can, or can't, do.
Glass was on a hiding to nothing.
His appointment should have been accompanied by the hiring of an experienced heid honcho/ General manager (we dinna seem to like the job title "Director of football" in Scotland) to overhaul recruitment, scouting and youth development.

If we go down the "young and inexperienced " road again, this is is an essential component.
I feel we'll go down a more conventional road though, with 3rd/4th and a cup final beingnthe limit of our capabilities.

I suspect Mircea Lucescu at Dinamo Kyiv is a bit out of our range but, for another Romanian manager, no harm sounding out Dan Petrescu at Cluj.
