Thanks for the "heads up" Crash, I like seeing what other fans think about us.

Some saying nice complimentary things, but also there's a lot of sour grapes on there, but I suppose you get that on all forums.

I find it a bit confusing though when all other team's supporters describe us as being "big and physical".

It’s because they cannot admit they were beaten by a better team.

    It’s an excuse.

We are not huge in the middle of the park. Barlaser is probably the tallest and the best with the ball at his feet. Neither Harding or REG are units and all the wingers are good runners.

They often confuse hard work with being physical. We graft teams down with high pressing and tempo. We don’t kick them. Off the pitch.

Especially when much of Sunderland's success last year can be attributed to Charlie Wyke who isn't exactly small. Haven't heard much about him at Wigan since his mysterious collapse in training almost 3 months ago so hopefully he's on the road to recovery.

He had a cardiac arrest CAM. He had a defibrillator fitted and was hoping to get back into training sometime this year.

Exactly. If being big was the ultimate secret to being successful it wouldn't be hard to have someone 6' 3" in every position but we don't and nor do any other successful teams. Also, if opponents complain about our back 3 winning everything in the air then there's a simple solution to that but I'm not going to tell them what it is

Thanks for that Godsend. Didn't realise it was that bad so as you say a long way back and good luck to him.

What most teams and Managers fail to spot is that we are able to play a lot of different ways within just one game.
Long gone are the days when we had no plan B
So long may it continue when the opposition say we are just route one or physical or a pressing team.
We are, but that's just for certain passages of play.

hence we are very difficult to play against and hence why we beat most teams

Not half as big as Accrington, now they are ' the land of the giants '. I've said it many times, we don't get enough credit.
