    Football topics vs O/T ‘others’

Interesting to note that of the latest 20 topics only 6 relate to football !
No issues from my viewpoint, just an observation as to how discussions have changed over the last 10 + years.
I remember a proposition that the forum should have a separate section to cover O/T (Off Topic from football) subjects. The concern was that O/T items were increasing and detracting from the original ethos of the board.
    How times have changed !
I consider that all matters may be raised and discussed, as particularly during the ‘close season’ it maintains the contact of us all. However, I do have some support to a separate O/T sub section.
I guess the board supervisors will have deliberated and reviewed this many times.
    Any views ?

I think the “O/T” is an irrelevance and an unnecessary requirement to type an extra few letters and symbols.

Topic headings are self explanatory, if people aren’t interested they can simply ignore them.

I’ll wager there’s no more than 40 to 50 of us regularly contributing on here now, the idea of sub sections or imposing “O/T” just seems a bit pedantic to me personally.

If the Albion’s football improved then I think that there would be more football topics on here. We need as much O/T stuff as possible right now to take our minds off the ‘football’!

I’d class this as an O/T Prando 🤣
But Ketts is right, there would be mostly Football topics if we had advanced since Pulis. Clearly we haven’t.

I am probably one of the only ones who use O/T and have done so since joining. But I use it simply out of habit.

I think since the Covid outbreak, the board has exploded with the number of new threads.
In some ways that is a good thing, people using the board to communicate.
If anyone dies, its almost on here before its on the BBC website.
What people are watching on TV
What music people are listening to
Politics, brexit, royal family, everything , its like the SUN newspaper.
It used to bother me but if it keeps people interested in the board I have no problem.
Some people however use titles for their threads which are vague and so you have to click on them to know what its about, so in that instance I would agree with the o/t.

    Totally agree.

That's why I hardly post these days. I come here to get away from the sh ite on the news, etc, etc to talk Albion.

You have to question a wba chat board that has a b ulls hit story about George Floyd's brother killing someone and it is totally bull s hit. The purpose of that thread was basically asking if there will now be a white lives matter or something to that effect.

It is beginning to have a close season feel to it already...unless we slip into a relegation battle....
