Not the most intelligent go at taking the pyss by mentioning Iniesta, passing wasn't mentioned once in the post... Good one that.. Very clever, just highlighting how good a season he has had, he has clearly managed the step up proving those that doubted he could before we got back wrong already (yes he's already proved posters on here wrong) , doesn't look out of place whether we are at Celtic Park, Ibrox, Pittodrie, Easter Road, derbies you name it, you might think they are aimless as you aren't as aware as you think about the game? Pulling out of a tackle, oh yea, like that blood and thunder lower league stuff, cracking, let's get Power from St Mirren instead, that will do the trick.. Misplace a pass, do you think this is La liga? Lol

The narrative comment is there is clearly a bunch of boo boys that don't like Harkes no matter what he does and you get a lot of sheep that jump on those things and some players get singled out a bit like Fraser, he was best player on the park v Motherwell but barely got a mention in here after for example, yet he is always rated by opposition fans after games, have seen that throughout the season many times, there are arabs who do see the obvious quality, he has weaknesses like all our players but his strengths outweigh them and is level of player that is needed to transition towards getting back to being consistent top 4-6 team as we continue to improve, it would likely take something like getting into Europe this season (maybe worth more than winning the cup this season and usually I'd choose cup every time) or next and the money thst brings compared to before to move up a level for us where someone like Harkes would not be seen as an obvious asset and starter

Anyway along with Butch, its not even up for debate anymore that they are good enough for a Utd side pushing for Europe's as that's the reality we can see (Butcher for a second spell) the fact he is coming into his peak years as age wise as LS said it's obviously a no brainer Utd want to extend his stay, the club will love to keep him long term, we might not be able to hang onto him it will be upto him just like Benji

Is football or any sport a hell of a lot about being consistent, i did like Frazer , he had the talent be a lot better than i thought he ended up, maybe coaching maybe never worked hard enough, maybe never wanted it enough, but loads games went missing, i also liked Harkes but he is deff a soft touch has got a great pass in him, but when is the next one, He had a really good game Well most of us all said it, he had a great game, when was his last assist can someone tell me , for your main midfielder and i have no idea when it was is wrong..we have scored 21 goals and we are 3/4 through this season, and 35 think all last season ..that is utter and totally pathetic.. Like any player start playing consistent any fans will back you in any team , go missing and this is what happens, you end up some thinking hes is doing great job others like me, whens his next good game.. Harkes it is on you, got 12 games left to prove you can play consistent..go and show us what you can do.

After all that absolute pysh the main thing is that along with the rest of our glorious midfield your poster boy Harkes is creating tons of chances and we are free flowing every game and the entertainment is aff the scale. He is part of a midfield that creates hee haw.

Here's a stat for you. See when we lost 6 games in a row, Harkes played in 5 of them and the 1 he missed was Sevco away when we played well with the young anes😳

He has the ability to be a good player, no doubt there but he has too many games where he is anonymous and hides when the going gets tough.

Just out of interest I checked Arab Archive for the Cup Semi v Hibs
The midfield was Fuchs Harkes Butcher and Clark. Harkes was subbed off on 60 for Pawlett

This was a chance to reach a cup final but our midfield never turned up. We couldn't keep the ball and create any sustainable pressure on Hibs. Nothing.

Harkes is a great guy judging by all his interviews but we need better quality if we want to get to the next level and that includes Butcher and Pawlett by the way. Our midfield has been failing us for years. The club decision makers don't appear to agree so my opinion is just that, an opinion.

...and just to add, when posters were quite rightly questioning Tams appointment and our chances of progressing this season Shedka said on numerous occasions that we were giving our opposition too much respect and that they weren't very good but recently has again said that the league this season has been the strongest for years.......make yir fkn mind up aye🤷*♂️

Good post. I've also praised Harkes when he's been good eg at Parkhead and I've praised Butcher for his central defensive displays since he came back in. I try to be balanced and will always try to judge a player without my Tangerine specs on.

DUTV commentators make me laugh though, see when a United player gives the ball away needlessly they'll either ignore it or they'll say intercepted by ... or they'll say it was the right idea. They rarely say f uck me what was he thinking 😁😁😁
Which got me thinking about Harkes and what you said is bang on. We hear when he made an occasional creative pass which worked or a goal that he scored but we never hear about the times his passes never came off because no one ever mentions it!

Well I'm just talking about the fans on here and TEK which I also read occasionally. Not seeing many Harkes fanatics over the 2 boards.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion but getting angry about having your opinion challenged isn't great is it.
