Not totally clued up on this, but am I right in thinking that our home form is better under IB and the away form better under NA?
Not trying to start a debate about who I would rather have as manager, cos it would defo be IB. But it seems like away from home, we could do with some more grit.
Would it be a silly idea to almost have a different starting 11 for away games. I.e. starting Rawlinson for example? Head it, kick it etc..just like Halifax did tonight?
Or is the best way just to trust the same 11 and keep working on it?
Does it cone down to personnel?
Is it to do with NA being a bit more negative therefore grinding out away results?
Don't know, it's frying my brain.
Anyway, we've taken 1 from 6 points against Halifax and arguably we deserved to win both games,(somebody mentioned losing 3-0 at theirs, which is wrong. We lost 3-2 but it felt like 3-0 cos we were 2-0 up from what I can remember). Anyway, back to the point....free flowing football at home and gritty stuff away, or just the same?

5th tier league and play off fixtures.....
Home
Ardley - 1.86 PPG
Burchnall - 2.09 PPG
Away
Ardley - 1.50 PPG
Burchnall - 1.30 PPG
Home and Away
Ardley - 1.70 PPG
Burchnall - 1.69 PPG
Ardley had 66 games in charge at this level
Burchnall now on 45 played (exactly the same as Keith Curle had).
I will be interested to see if he goes with the team and tactics of the last couple of games.
No one can argue that we not creating and I am intrigued to see if we can now replicate the recent performance levels on the road.
Me too.
Something is definitely amiss and we know it's the clinical nature needed by top sides in any division to be successful.
We've had impressive halves of football in probably all of the last 7 games and the style of play adopted has created plenty of chances but just not taking enough of them.
Woking away for me is an acid test sort of game, they should a little better than Weadlstone and notably worse than Bromley. We are away and that usually means we will only play well for 45 mins, during that period we need to clinical.
We need to win this one plain and simple. They were quite impressive in defeat (after a horrific start) when I saw them against Borehamwood earlier in the season albeit they've since sold Campbell to Rochdale.
Those figures are a bit of a concern to me. I keep hearing about how much better we are under Burchnall, how great we are to watch and how classy our style of football is, but in the two thing that matter, namely improving our PPG and league position we have made no progress at all.
It's fair to say it's a disappointing status quo on results and effectiveness.
But an improvement on performance and clear improvement on entertainment levels.
