    Absolute admiration!

I have nothing but absolute admiration for the Ukranian people. To see the vast queues waiting to join up in order to fight the Russian invasion is humbling. Even women were in these huge queues. In all honesty and with the greatest respect, I can't see this happening in our country. God help them!

    I have to agree Leicester.

I’m not a brave person or a physical fighter by nature but if we faced the same as the Ukrainians I’d take up arms.

I think it’s something that any fit male of any age should do in those circumstances.

I feel sorry for all those young Russian soldiers as well.

Putin has their blood on his hands, the man is an absolute disgrace and is as guilty as the Croation and Serbian leaders were 25 years ago.

I feel sorry too for Russian soldiers but it’s dog eat dog so they must be eliminated as they are invading!

Grenades are needed to blow them and their murdering war machines into pieces

    Thanks for that post Mick....👍
Have Russian colleagues who are distraught with what Putin gas been doing for over 20 years.
Interesting....one mentioned that some regular army units refused to cross the border. There is growing unrest across Russia against this.....I equally admire the brave russian civilians coming out to protest against the machine....considering the treatment they know they will face....but change is coming....

Totally agree! Absolute respect to Zelensky and the Ukrainian people for making a stand for their country and beliefs against such overwhelming Russian aggression. That said, I doubt anyone is not making a distinction between Putin and the Russian people, many of whom are against this invasion as they are against much of Putin's rule. The ubiquitous use of mobile phones provide plenty of evidence to support the notion that many of the Russian soldiers involved are far from convinced about the legitimacy of the invasion. Many of these are described by Ukranian civilians as just "kids" who seem bewildered when having to deal with ranks of unarmed civilians standing in the paths of tanks for example. Doubtless, there are also.many more seasoned troops with no such qualms who believe in all the crap spouted by Putin on Special Forces Day but maybe-hopefully- the pressure of public opinion and Western sanctions and support may prevail. Just hope these brave Ukrainians can hold out long enough.

Russia is a great country - art, culture, history ... highly educated and computer literate people ..... a land full of potential. How great could Russia really be. But being lead by a sociopath dictator who is leading the country into the dark ages ... to satisfy his own warped view of the Soviet Union .....just awful to see it all unfold ... the West should have seen this coming ...

The chances of Putin backing down are very slim. There will be pressure on him from within but these days there is a very small sphere of influencers around him mostly old schools KGB pals the entire same mind and never really accepted the fall of USSR

My worry is that all sides are ratcheting up the stakes and in just in a few days we are almost in a human extinction situation.

Let’s hope the aliens intervene and save us all

Putin, I believe, will press the nuclear button rather than lose face, he probably thinks that he can win a nuclear war. I am most fearful.
