If you want to discuss Gardiner and Miss Lee, please feel free to open another thread.
You were talking about the laundering of dirty money BT, you brought it up, not me, and as Labour's Gardiner is an acknowledged recipient of dirty money then I feel sure he belongs on this thread. So, many thanks for the offer of another thread, but I shall keep our Barry on here, where he belongs, if you don't mind.

    Thank you.

It is chilling isn't it Outwood. I have every sympathy for Russia, it has been treated despicably be the West and at some point, as many have been pointing out, it would seek retribution, or at least in their eyes, justice. Now that time has come, but what had seemed to me a possibly justifiable attempt to bring the Donbas region completely under Russian control has morphed into an attempt to over-run Ukraine.

I'm no military expert but this seems madness, Ukraine is a massive country with a huge population, how many troops does Putin imagine he will need to subjugate it ? I don't know how many, but I don't think he has enough. Then to compound this lunacy he's now threatening nuclear war. Unfortunately he does seem to have gone full tonto. God help us.

because the people with the Power (and I dont mean the actors they beam into folks houses to persuade/propogandize) are sunk into all aspects of business, Globally - it doesn't have a country, and it means that those with the Investments hold the cards, they'll decide it....

as of Euromaiden (perhaps earlier) the Ukraine government was decided for them (U.S.A et al), just as it was decided, by "Ukraine" that Donetsk and Luhansk should be cut from the country - back in 2015 there was the (Minsk2) ceasefire deal - this should have stopped the fighting in the the Donbas region, but it failed....long story short, the idea was to reintegrate the breakaway regions back into the Ukraine, but instead - Ukraine cut ties economically - fuel/energy/food etc etc....why do that - because it left Russia to fill the void, support them....when as I read it, all they were asking for was some level of independence (think Wales)....then in 2019, with the fighting in it's fifth year - Putin offered them Russian passports....thus making those that accepted the offer - Russian citizens, under Russian protection.
The leaders of both breakaway states are now members of Putins ruling party btw - and in 2020, both regions ended the use of Ukranian as the state language, as for the regions buisness, it's been ceded to Russian businessmen

as I see it, this this whole affair has been managed to one end, the people of Ukraine are being used, split apart and forced to choose a side....caught in the middle of geopolitical gamesmanship and it's consequences....and as usual , it us that do the suffering. Personally, I think they're two jaws on the same Pacman, economic colonialists, and I dont trust any of them, I have no reason to.

No idea, you tell me, you were the one that brought up the subject of 'dirty money'.

"We did not want Syria bombed - Cameron had fighter jets bombing Damascus within one hour of the Tory led vote."

WTF has this got to do with Putin invading the Ukraine?

"Perhaps it's because of the massive Russian donations to the Tory party"

It's a good guess, but somehow I don't think it has anything to do with Putin invading Ukraine. In the unlikely event these 'massive' donations exist at all, were they as massive as the donation Labour's Gardiner received from the Chinese ?

"In my opinion Arab countries are united in their disgraceful disinclination to provide succour to the Palestinians who are trapped on the Gaza Strip. As far as they are concerned, the Palestinians are "our dear and beloved brothers," just as long as they stay far away from the Arab countries and remain a headache solely for Israel."

WTF has this got to do with Putin invading the Ukraine?

    "I don’t like Arabs Balan.…"

WTF has this racist remark got to do with Putin invading the Ukraine?

    Syria. Putin. Israel. Geopolitics.

Context. Tory government. Money laundering. Impartiality.

According to Gardiner he did not profit from Miss Lee's half a million quid which is about as disingenuous as you claiming the Tory Party have not been on take from Russian oligarchs.

Part of a continuing discourse with Balan.

Fact. I've dealt with Arabs in business. They are almost as disingenuous as the Tory Party. Qatar. Moscow. World Cup. Corruption. FIFA. Geopolitics. Syria. Israel. Lack of condemnation. It's not racist to say I don't like chocolate teapots. I don't like Arabs. I don't like Putin. Fair enough?

It must be hard to be taking back handers and then wanting to freeze their assets. Hypocrisy rules - OK?

One daft, rogue (possibly treacherous) Labour MP hardly fits into the Tory Parties "Grabbit & Run" paradigm though sinkov...
