    What would you do if you were Steve Bruce?

    I would play nothing but a mix of reserves and youth players next game and tell the first team players they had better hope they don't win. Then I would put a few of the women's team very visibly on the bench as unofficial "substitutes". If they win, I would go with those players for the rest of the season and leave all the first teamers to rot in the reserves. If they lose badly, resign, hold a press conference explaining what is actually happening behind the scenes, retire, and maybe write another novel or something. He's got nothing to lose now.

    I would go and buy a maccies on the way home or maybe a KFC. But don't worry we will still make the play-offs well that's what i'll tell the press tomorra

    If i was Bruce i'd go back to plan A and look forward to watching the cricket

    Looking at Bruce, it'll be both with a deliveroo waiting for him he finally gets home.

    You can't blame him for comfort eating after watching these gutless displays.

    I would play the youngsters for some kind of pride for what's left of the season. Then watch the cricket.
