They made it sound like a slow 0-0 draw on a wet and windy night in November. "Aye, Captain Mainwaring, 'twas a wild and windy nacht and naebody was bothering tae come oot..."
Probably just a reflection of what they’re both used to tbf. Say what you like about this current Notts side, but we certainly aren’t boring. A very controlled 2-0 away win counts as dull for us.

I don't know how anyone connected with Notts could judge that second half as dull or boring. It was an absolute delight, the football played was great to watch, nice little triangles, good interaction between the players, ball played on the deck and played out from the back. Jaros starting attacks with some lovely distribution. The only frustration was not getting the 2nd goal before we did, as I felt once that came it was game over, which was certainly the case as they offered nothing in the second half. In fact it was such a composed dominate display after HT that I did not hear one 'Gerrritttforward' nor one moan about the lovely football being offered up for all in attendance to see which made a refreshing change.

The first half however yup uneventful and rather dull.

    re: Woking "highlights".

    Very comprehensive.

    Commentary generally complimentary towards Notts.

Seems like it was the last straw for their manager.

They state they've sacked their manager after a poor run of results, and then go on to list all of his achievements, which makes you wonder exactly what more Woking expect to achieve?! Sounds like he's done a decent job to me. It's only a few months since they were beating us 4-1 at home!

New owners. Higher expectations. 2018/19 promotion from National League South seems a long time ago in footballing years. Losing 10 home games this season before March!! That's 2/3rds of all their home games, and home games as all football fans/clubs are key. That's unacceptable in anyone's eyes.

I believe the club expect upper midtable this season. He's a lovely guy but the current very poor form combined with poor home record all season made this inevitable sadly. I didn't expect it to happen on Saturday but the locals were restless.

Good luck to them then. Mind you, if Inih Effiong represents a marquee signing for the new owners, then I would suggest they moderate their high expectations pretty sharpish!
