I see a lot of RAF fighters training today near Anglesey & Stranraer & typhoon fighter on the East coast. Reconnaissance in Scotland

It’s the norm really, it’s always busy what you can’t see is the American strike aircraft out there too as they don’t squwak there position and there’s a lot out there. If you want to know if something is happening (non training) then Friday afternoon is best as training flying usually finishes at 13.00.

If anyone hasn’t yet, I can recommend a few hours in the spotters car park at RAF Conningsby (FOC) some great views of incoming and departures as well if you time it right you can see the practice display flights of the Typhoon, and if you book in advance a trip around the Battle of Britain Memorial hanger where the Lancaster, Spitfires, Hurricanes etc are based is something special.
