Thread: It’s all the fans fault

    It’s all the fans fault

"Multiple sources have referenced the toxic atmosphere at The Hawthorns, and increasingly among away fans, as a key reason for inhibited displays, with players reluctant to receive the ball and scared to take risks or be creative."

Really, so it’s the fans fault we left 4 Boro players unmarked in the penalty area, failed to cut out the crosses for the Swansea goals plus other numerous errors, the fans really need extra time on the training pitch.
You couldn’t make this up, WBA players you are a disgrace, your not scared to pick up your huge wage packets though

Though the reality is that at times the atmosphere does feel toxic.
Some fans just cant help themselves at matches, constantly throughout the game screaming obscenities at our players and managers.
They are obviously passionate, but it doesn't make for a pleasant atmosphere.

I'm with you, hate it at the moment it's bad enough with the football.
But it's only a small percentage of the home crowd. I don't boo like most of the fans by us, silence from the home crowd at halftime would have a bigger response to a poor performance.

Not making any excuse for the dire performances on the pitch but, the atmosphere is very toxic with booing at half time if we aren't slaughtering a team. There is sense of entitlement with some fans that we should be walking this division.

I absolutely hate it and the toxic atmosphere when I hear our fans do the job of the opposition fans and boo our own.

I don’t like booing during play but surely fans have the right to vent their displeasure at half time and full time.

An alternative view, given to The Athletic by several sources close to Albion players, is that rather than not caring enough, the squad is worn down by multiple failures, the intensity of Ismails spell in charge and now the relentless criticism
