May be why he looks disinterested recently? nice big signing on fee for Liverool should we go down?
I have wondered the same thing myself. Really a horrible contract provision.

Indeed maybe a bit of both but we only had 4 shots on target and I don't think Schmeichel knew much about the Raphinha effort. Agree we were unlucky with the goal through Ayling's (who I think played well) legs. The point is that 19 shots should produce at least 2 goals.

Deserved a point - we looked better defensively and can still bomb forward

Certainly noticed yesterday how jesse has worked on the shape of the team.
Once leicester had possession in their area.
Harrison Raphinia rodrigo and James just went to a straight line of 4, making it difficult for Leicester to come out, the press was controlled.
At the back we looked more compact, so great work on that and it will get better.
Massive massive worry for me is Raphinia, JM certainly has a issue with him, he's reminding me of Martial when at Man Utd, what the heck am I doing here at 12.30 on a saturday.
Just bloody smile and look like your enjoying getting paid 60k plus a week, and doing something we all would love to do.
In a ideal world yesterday, I would have kept him with Rogers and we took Vardy for the rest of the season, at 35 what a credit to the game that lad is.
I would be thinking of James Harrison on wings,
Joffy and rodrigo up top until bamford is back.
I would just use raphinia last 20 mins if he would bloody allow that done to him.
He is in for a shock if he thinks he could play for Liverpool with that attitude.
Scoring goals now is the key to any survival, if you cannot score you don't win footy matches its that simple.
Norwich is must win, Villa that could be anything.
I would take 4 points now but 3 is a must.
Something in our favour is we finish with 2 winnable games which will be crucial.
I honestly now cannot call the bottom 3, you have to think Watford Norwich are favs to go,
1 from Leeds Burnley everton Brentford.
50/50 to close to call, but we enough games and quality to just get out in my view.

Yeah, I know that we still have Norwich, Brentford and Watford. That's basically the whole season in three games. Of course, they might pick up points elsewhere so a draw or win on those does not ensure our survival.

Don't see points on any of the remaining teams. Villa could well be our next best chance other than the above.
This is my worry, Leicester are crap at the moment it isn't like we got unlucky against a top 6 team these lot are down with us and would have been closer if it wasn't for Vardy at start of season

To follow up on that - Chelski 11 shots, 5 on target and 4 goals. If you want a low budget comparison: Aston Villa 14 shots, 9 on target and 4 goals (and they did that with only 38% possession). It makes our return from 19 shots look pitiful (which it is). If we had Watkins OR Ings (or Pukki or Toney for that matter) we would be comfortably mid table by now instead of scrapping it out with the bottom feeders.

We know who we can thank for not having a back up in place....
JM has clearly worked wonders on our shape and defence in 4 days. The world could see on Sat the massive improvement... kasper being man of the match tells the story.
Strikers come at a premier rate, they tend to be the most expensive commodity at a football club in general... At the moment we have joffy fit.
This week I'm sure JM will be working on our finishing... Rodrigo now needs to show something this is the time before he goes..
Everton have 2 up top who are quality when on song.
Burnley have a couple of strikers who on the day can cause problems
    Brentford have Toney.
Watkins we could have got but ended up with rodrigo, Toney at 10 million was there to see if you can recruit properly...

Watkins hasn’t been that prolific at Villa. Toney not that great - the one MB was supposedly interested in was Brereton Diaz at Blackburn and who has been prolific this season.

We also miss a free scoring attacking midfielder - how many key goals did Pablo pop up with - that hasn’t really been replaced.

Said as much (particularly about Toney (9 in 23 appearances, and 10m, compared to Rodrigo 3 in 23 and cost us 26m!))

Interesting (maybe) given the comments in the Rapha thread, but Rapha is ahead of the likes of Saka, Kane, Bowen AND Antonio, so it's perhaps not surprising that his head drops given he knows where we are and the prospects of relegation? Just saying.
