I can understand why he is doing this although I don't condone it.
He wants a buffer state between Russia and his enemy controlled neighbouring countries.
My dad fought in Korea against the communists, the French and Yanks fought against the Vietnamese, just because they didn't want communism to take hold there.
These were countries on the other side of the world, is what Putin is doing on his doorstep any worse than what the west have done down the decades? America plays at being the world policeman and uses the excuse to invade any country whose politics they don't agree with. No difference in my mind between America and Russia, it just depends on which side you belong to.
I tend to agree with that......there are no clear cut good/bad guy politics anymore.....you can see that in how the deceptions were poured out during the pandemic and before it....you need to get your own source of information.
The policeman on the beat has been found out to be as corrupt as the people he was suppose to be protecting......NATO and Clinton fecked Russia off after Germany reunification.......and then Obama weakened over Syria and Crimea......when Russia invaded Cheyenne not once but twice....the west figured it was a war against Muslim extremest..... when he went into Georgia it was regarded as a Russian matter in its own sphere........so it figures when Afghanistan was left high and dry by the pull back....well....you have just lined up a load of green light for Putin........but he has made a mistake by attacking Slavic people.

Many Russians will not be happy with this war and I perceive demonstrations growing larger as this drags on........initial intell reports suggest that the Russian command actually believed they would only need three days to over throw the Ukraine Government.
