Poland Agrees All Its Fighter Jets For Ukraine

Good on them! So all their fighter jets are being made available for Ukraine to a US airbase! I hope they bomb the f uck out of some of these Russian conveys!

Murderers of women and children and if this starts WW3 so be it! Putin needs to be stopped are they will never win in Ukraine as even if they take a City - they won’t hold it!

It’s not that simple; the aircraft that may be supplied to Ukraine are Russian made Mig jets and before they can be used there would have to be some significant pilot training. It’s no good just to be able to fly the things, the pilots have to be capable of taking on the Russians in air to air combat.

Seems like the Ukrainians are trained in this type of aircraft! Hope they know the press and release button!

The article that I read suggested that the Polish jets are newer that those that the Ukrainian pools are trained in, so retraining would be necessary. Sadly, I see that there will be a lot more suffering to be endured as a result of Putin’s abhorrent actions.

    Well....they are not getting them....YET.
Poland wanted to ship their ageing MIGS for new F-115 fighter aircraft.
The idea....to ship to German air base for USA to ship to Ukraine....but US having none of it. Would involve NATO bases and could contribute to escalation of conflict..

As one American officer suggested, why not have the Ukrainian pilots themselves travel into Poland to collect the Mig 29s and then fly them back? That way it's no different from NATO countries supplying arms like Stingers and no NATO pilots are involved.

Or just leave the keys in the ignition and walk away with a sign....."Do not take"
Poland are clearly attempting to keep some kind of distance and I would imagine this is a red line for Russian millatery and Poland rightly do not want to get dragged in....and NATO TOO.

We seem to be dancing in the eye of a needle on this Fighter jets issue. Can’t see what the huge difference is between NATO countries providing Ukraine with Stinger, Javelin missiles and the rest and a few planes. And as an earlier post says .... just get the Ukrainian pilots to fly them out themselves ....

I think Poland is rightly a bit cautious about getting bombed even though in NATO......truth is Russia is a lot weaker then NATO thought.
Not sure Russia could expand its front as things stand....so a bit of brinkmanship going on before they decide their next move....
