    12,000 civilians have been killed, many reports of war crimes, cluster bombs and white phosphorus used, and even child soldiers are being used.

    But almost no media coverage, because this "intervention" is supported by the USA and the UK.

    There might not be as much media coverage as you think the issue deserves, but there is coverage as in the link provided by raging to the Ronay article.

    One hopes that now that the cesspit has been stirred, that it (ownership of clubs by dubious foreign entities) might be cleaned up, if not immediately, by the introduction of rules which are more stringent about human rights.

    Yes, one would hope so but the modern game is deeply flawed, arguably corrupt, and perhaps unfixable

    There are quite a few dubious people in football, not all foreign either
