They didn't all leave this club for nowt in the summer .If we were going places they'd have stayed .

Including Val and Mowatt in my opinion .

    =======

Not a chance, you need to live in the real World pal, West Brom relegated from the Prem with 100m parachute money offered Mowatt & Val a possibility of promotion to the Prem plus double (possibly triple) wages, Mowatt cost them nowt so he got the contract of his career, no way would they have stayed at Barnsley under any owner.

We bought well last season with Ismael, Morris, Helik & Brittain & got in the play offs, but you need to understand these signings were all risky but paid off, this seasons permanent signings & manager haven't worked out but its a thin line and fact is there wasn't that much difference in the two windows. Conway just like Cryne takes a punt on relatively unknown signings & crosses fingers.

Man Utd finished 2nd bought Ronaldo, Sancho & Varane and became a worse team, Liverpool won league then had a poor season, thats because 'building on last season' is much easier said than done

However, our 4 loan signings are all doing really well & so is the team now, the atmosphere is much better at oakwell without all that Conway Out garbage but fans need to step up their support for the remaining matches, wins against Bristol, Sheff U & Reading would be magic.

I still see the crowds are well down at Oakwell. I'd conservatively estimate that around 3000 season ticket holders stayed at home again yesterday. You say oakwell is better without all that 'Conway out garbage' but the atmosphere is quiet and understandably so considering the season we've witnessed. Folk have voted with their feet for at least the last 7 home games (since we played Huddersfield in early December) and it is evident that they won't be returning anytime soon and I can't say that I blame them.

Sometimes the football wasn't great to look at, but Val gave us a memorable season and he and the team deserved credit for that. I think thats what wound a lot of fans up.
Its behind us all now though thankfully. 😊
I was thinking more along the lines of what SB was saying about the owners rather than the team last season Acido.

Conways reactions last summer said it all to me. He was bitch1ng because the club had success on the field and barring the compo for Val, we didn't make any significant money from the sales of players. That's what got up Conways nooaz.

Out of curiosity. Just how many players signed by PMG have been sold on for a major profit in these last 4 years?

I can only think of Keiffer Moore.

Compare that to how many duds they've bought who they are going to make a loss on. Thomas, Wilks, Schmidt, Oulare, Green, Miller, Frieser, Sibbick, Ritzmaier, Diaby, Halme, Oduor.

These owners say things will take time. Oh aye, 4 years in and the club is in a worse league position and financially much more worse off than the day this lot walked through the feckin doors. They have also managed to alienate the vast majority of fans into not coming and we face major major financial hardship if relegated this season. Feckin great job PMG.

“we face major major financial hardship if relegated this season. Feckin great job PMG.”

Maybe that’s NOW what they want….. they’ve probably paid for the club, (or about to finish the instalments) with money that wasn’t theirs, and will offload now for a clear profit. Has that INEOS guy got a British club.?

Fair point Jules and that could certainly be the case here.

Just to make it clear. My criticism of Ismael was down to his Covid rule breaking in the middle of a pandemic and his hoofball tactics which were awful to watch.
My feelings abart Conway are well known and consistent.

All darn to last 10 games. Let the run in begin. Bristol City is just as important as any other game

I do live in the real world and the fact is and a very good point Luke Goddard made about this club is that it's standards are extremely low .

Supporters such as yourself are as much part of the problem as the club are for continuing to put up with the rubbish that's served up for you .

The culture at the club is small time so it will always will be small time .

The glad " just to have a club to support is " about the optimum of your ambition .

There's a massive difference between spending ridiculous amounts of money that financially threaten the club's existence and investment that builds on a fifth placed championship finish .

The truth is Val , Mowatt and Murphy knew full well what the club was and acted accordingly .

Thomas Frank knew what Brentford were which is why he stayed on when they were defeated in the play off final by Fulham and got the job done last season .

Massive difference between a club with ambition and one stagnating away and rotten to the core .

The only thing left is the 6k nodding donkeys who are prepared to put up with this shyte and wear their ST card as a badge of honour .

The truth is you aren't real fans because real fans wouldn't put up with this shyte such is their passion and love for the club .

I certainly don't want to be breathing the same air as some of you lot inside Oakwell anytime soon .

Kieffer Moore and Conor Chaplin are the only two players signed and sold under PMG for a profit .

I suspect the profit on Chaplin was minimal at best .

Means nowt to PMG mind given it's not their money they've lost .

Animal - if I remember right - you posted a while ago that you were angry and upset that the fan base was split.

As you know - I believe you are one of the better posters on here as you have lots of things to say.
You are one of only a handful that keeps the ball rolling on this message board.

But in making some of your points you need to tone down the anti.
Not wanting to breathe the same air as some Barnsley supporters will not bring supporters together.
    We are ALL Barnsley fans.

Ponty has some good points to make - which are generally opposite to what many believe on here.
And as such he should be encouraged to post more often.

First of all I didn't create the split in the fan base that was caused by supporters such as Ponty End and his condemnation of Luke Goddard and the Protest Group .

Every action leads to a reaction .

I've about as much time for the likes of Ponty End as he has for Luke Goddard who I consider to be a passionate , knowledgeable and upstanding person who simply wants the best for his club and was prepared to do something about it .

The vitriol aimed towards him has sickened me to the stomach .

At this moment in time not only will I never put a penny in to the club whilst PMG are here I'm also unwilling to sit in the same stadium with the likes of Ponty End and the other club sycophants .

It's a reaction , nothing more and nothing less .

Ponty End even has the brass face to come on here trying to drum up support for the rest of the season .

I'm afraid he'll have to suck it up for the foreseeable because that won't be happening .

I've all long watching us on tv to be honest such is my despondency never mind anything else .

The clubs rotten to the core aided by Ponty End and the club's sycophants in my opinion .

Let them rot in it .
