You mean as he is head coach only, the players are sought out and signed by someone else then handed over to him and he has to mould them into a coherent football team capable of success? He is a puppet who has no say about who comes and goes? Who then can the mystery scout be? How come we've never heard of him or this set-up before?

Well why is he called head coach not manager.

Tuchel is head coach we know he don’t buy the players at Chelsea yet Pep/Klopp are managers they have the final say.

This is how the model works in Europe his job is to coach the players he has and make match day decisions but if he is given a turd player then you can’t do much about it other than try make him better.

The recruitment team are responsible for the signings but fans won’t see it that way as some still don’t understand how our model works.
