Shame he went off the rails Dubs with drink - drugs and cheating on his wife. Truth be told had he kept his feet on the floor he could have been a super star - so much talent and such a waste!

When you let your self down it's the worse feeling......
Worse then letting anybody else down....cause you live with it in your mind where nobody else can see it.....

I hated him at the time but hope he gets his life back on track! Talent never disappears as long as he’s still got that sharpness!

Interesting to hear Chris Brunt and Ben Foster discuss him on Foster's podcast that was posted on here recently. They obviously raised the occasion where, instead of playing for time with the ball in the corner he tried to attempt something fancy that led to a break and us conceding (as well as earning him a smack from Morrison!) , but generally both were sympathetic to him. He had so much potential but got his head turned. At 28 he now seems to acknowledge his screw ups so hope he has turned his life around. He got quoted in the paper after his hat-trick as referencing Brunty who once told him that if you always give your all then the fans will give that back to you. A simple lesson but one he took time to learn (and one some of our current squad should remember tool)
