Millersmad Matchthread: Millers v Lincoln City

Early I know but I have loads to do before I head off to the pub for a pre match shandy to toast the health of our slimy green buddy.

Frog has wimped out of doing the matchthread himself, merely because he was going into surgery at 7:30 this morning. So he's asked me to get the ball rolling.

Not a trivial thing for him but he's as tough as old boots and he'll sail through it I'm sure. He's a Thrybergh lad who went to school in Dalton ffs. It wouldn't surprise me if he turns down anaesthetic in favour of a stick between his teeth and a shot of redeye.

Seriously though, I know we all wish the great man good luck and a speedy recovery.

I won't even attempt to match Frog's Gallic fervour and continental sophisticatedness.

Big big match for us tonight and we all need to cast aside thoughts of possible Wembley glory and focus on the main prize.

Whatever collection of walking wounded Warney puts together should have enough quality to overcome Lincoln. Let's hope that turns out to be the case. The crowd needs to be making some real noise tonight to help the cause.

Unlikely - but decent results for Crewe and Stanley wouldn't go amiss.

    Come on you Reds!

Get out there and win this one for the frog

I think we've enough cover in our squad to win this one.

Tempo has to be high though with a minimum of " lump it up to Smith"

I think we'll definitely see more football played on the ground than we did in our last game.

I'm hoping for a back three of Edmonds-Green, Wood and Ihiekwe.

That's great news. Everyone on MM will be having a 1 minute 'ribbit' in support of Frog before kick off.
