I'm not into netball rounders and other American games, they spend most of the time talking, they would give the c ockney's a good run for their money in a talking competition.


One of the best I watched featuring a sporting legend was The Keeper, about Bert Trautmann. I knew about Trautmann from my dad, who told me that he was a German POW, who married a girl over here on his release and broke his neck playing for Manchester City in a cup final.
What surprised me was the fact that he was not just a German soldier, but a committed Nazi, who had joined the Hitler youth. I never knew this. He was met with angry jeers and abuse when he played, it was just after the war when people had lost many family members.
I can usually sympathise with the lead role in many film's but not on this occasion.
