    O/T - Netflix - The Last Dance.

The story of Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls team and fellow star players.

I’m not remotely interested in basketball but this is an excellent watch and a real “warts and all” documentary with behind the scenes footage filmed during his career.

The magnificence of this athlete and what he was capable of is absolutely breathtaking to watch.

Like Pele, Maradonna, Messi and Cruyff rolled into one in a basketball player.

Superb insight into the man and into a dynesty.

How funny Mick, I was only about to post/reply on the Ronaldo post the other day about this. I thought Cristiano Ronaldo (with his work ethic) is the Michael Jordan in football, always determined to win and can never get enough. He just wants to beat everyone. There’s a similar biopic made of him I believe is on Amazon, which is worth a watch. I put Ronaldo above Messi after watching that.

Anyway, the Last Dance was such an amazing watch. I never really followed basketball myself but the team i got drawn to in my ****s was Orlando Magic because of Shaquille O’neil. Watching this on Netflix 2 years ago, I learned so much about Jordan and the coach, as well as players like Pippen - very insightful. I absolutely loved it. How netflix made this and added an element of intensity/addiction.. no idea. An amazing watch. At times it makes you realise how such a great team the Bulls were but it wasn’t always down to one player, the others were so ***** as well as the coach they had. Highly recommend to those that have now watched it.

Thanks for the recommendation Mick. Aside from enjoying the old Harlem Globetrotters as a kid, never really followed basketball either but this was a good watch👍

    I’ve now finished watching this.

I don’t think I have ever so enjoyed a documentary about a sport I’ve never had any interest in.

As Regis eludes to, it’s such an insight into the mentality and mindset of surely one of the top ten sportsmen of all time and maybe even the best.

People like Pippen, Dennis Rodman and the coach as well, to see footage filmed behind the scenes at the time brings such a riveting perspective.

I’d sit every pro sportsman down and make them watch this........it is a real eye opener as to how even the most talented player of his sport of all time also had an unbelievable work ethic and a mentality second to none.

Ten of the best hours of TV I have ever watched.

    What an amazing bloke.

Have to agree watched this when it first was on Netflix despite not really knowing basketball at all

I’m always intrigued to learn about anyone who is a leader in their field, Jordan and his team were just amazing, the dynamics and the way they motivated each other was great to see , great watch

I'm not into netball rounders and other American games, they spend most of the time talking, they would give the c ockney's a good run for their money in a talking competition.

One of the best I watched featuring a sporting legend was The Keeper, about Bert Trautmann. I knew about Trautmann from my dad, who told me that he was a German POW, who married a girl over here on his release and broke his neck playing for Manchester City in a cup final.
What surprised me was the fact that he was not just a German soldier, but a committed Nazi, who had joined the Hitler youth. I never knew this. He was met with angry jeers and abuse when he played, it was just after the war when people had lost many family members.
I can usually sympathise with the lead role in many film's but not on this occasion.
