That's disgusting ELK. I've had the same with my doctor's this last week, Dalton, where I'd been trying to get through to make an appointment all week and finally got through to a receptionist on Friday with her telling me that there weren't any appointments left for that day and that I would have to try again on Monday at 8.am. I told her that I'd been trying to get through all week and she then asked what was wrong with me, so I told her and then she made a face-to-face appointment for me a couple of hours later. Everything's changed since this covid thing turned up and nothing's the same anymore. Personally I've got that many things going on with my health that I don't know where to start when the doctor asks me what's wrong. I can laugh when I talk about it but in reality it's not funny. The World is fu**ed up.

The GP system is deeply flawed

Too many if them doing private work and an increasing number of people wanting their time when they are available

It's not the world, in every other western country GPs continued working, it was only here where they did a bunk.

As long as people keep thinking that the NHS is the "envy of the world" and that the staff can do no wrong, things will only get worse, because there's no incentive for them to improve.
