You know sometimes, after reading comments from opposition supporters, I wonder if Charlie and Stall were at the the same game. From them it sounded like a Notts B team were being pummelled by Real Madrid.

To be fair, Charlie didn't have much to say yesterday.

In a perfect world Cameron, Lacey, Chicksen and Brindley or at least three of them together is our strongest defence but it needs two of the three to be centre halves. Palmer, Arter and Vincent is our strongest midfield, experienced, mobile and creative enough but also strong enough to shield the defence. Then presuming Wootton is playing you pick two from Richardson, Roberts, Rodriguess, Mitchell and Sam. I think Richardson should start for his raw pace and Sam on the left on current form.
Sounds ridiculous but that puts RR and Roberts both on the bench.
We've a strong squad and no way should this season be written off as a learning curve for the manager, promotion is entirely achievable this season.
Yeah not a popular opinion I'd like to think. Creativity isn't an optional extra - it's how you score goals and win games. With Wootton's drought going on and on, dropping R and R (who have 25 between them) would be nuts. Where are the goals coming from? Lacey's goal-a-game form might not be sustainable

He’s basically right in the ‘you pick two from this lot’ though IMO, it’s just that the two should be Roberts and Rodrigues. Although Sam’s form, if he picks it back up post-illness, means the option of leaving Wootton out is now there as well. What we can’t do is what we did at Chesterfield where we were basically playing a front six away against a good team.

If Arter is as good as we hope positionally then you might be able to afford a third one of the ultra attacking boys, probably Richardson, but I still have reservations about him in a back four.

Fully onboard with the whole 'don't be too attacking and therefore open away from home'. But saying that Rodrigues should play in every away game if fit and available IMO.

One question - if the Daggers captain hadn't turned it into his own net, would this have been counted as a big/good chance? Or did it get 0 xG not because it was an OG but because it wasn't considered a very good chance? I thought it looked nailed on for a goal had Wright not got there first.
