I remember that season it's when we had the best squad we've had in 20 years bought with the money we didn't actually have lol. Unintentional cheating? Hmmmmm

We beat Harrogate in August so not sure what weight you can put on that, it would be like me referencing the Barrow home game that season. We had momentum for sure, we had good form, but I'd rather have had the points on the board because every slip up when you are chasing and trying to close a points deficit is very costly.

Oh and we had to not only catch up and overtake the league leaders but also Harrogate who were also in fine form and not stumbling and proved it by outplaying us and comfortably beat us in the final. A big ask IMO.

I, like all Notts fans I imagine, was frustrated that the season was cut short and we will never know. But saying "we would have won the league" is a BIG statement but as it can't be proven either way I applaud it.

I certainly prefer it to sitting meekly on the fence drinking a weak lemon drink and waiting to see what happens to then comment. Where's the fun in that, bold crazy predictions are better than no prediction at all in my book.

So if the 2019/20 squad is noticeably better than the 2021/22 squad, then we must have a better manager now right?
You tell me, you're the one who is always asking questions. Then criticise the replies...

It's accurate to say Ian Burchnall has had one year (so far) to get us to wherever we think we are presently, be that better, worse or the same level Ardley left us after two years and four months in charge. I'm pretty certain that unless we miss the play-offs completely, the owners will give IB another season, so by this time next year we'll be able to compare the two managers based on similar amounts of time in charge. If we end up getting promoted this season, then the question answers itself.

Not sure you are in a position to bemoan anyone for criticising chap

If it's about actual football then I'm happy to answer. Yes IB is an upgrade on NA IMO, although our former boss is clearly doing very well at Solihull however much some individuals on here won't want to acknowledge it.

Now your turn, IB an upgrade on NA or downgrade seeing as his side isn't as good as the 2019/20 version?

Great to hear. So what was the second Notts actual football match you attended in person this season after Barnet?

Apologies to anyone bored by this question, but I couldn't resist such an open goal! If I get an honest answer, I promise to take it elsewhere.

I’d say we have a better squad than last season and Rodders and Sam have improved more this season. First season we were pretty strong, Rawlinson and Lacey were very good and we had 3 quality strikers, bit of a toss up for me but I imagine we may have a slightly lower budget now, but not by much as Cameron and Palmer will be on a good wage.

Or you don't respond because you don't know how to answer . It's a very simple question, and you do simple so well. But if you don't want to answer just say. It's fine

Never watch the team?!?! What's your minimum requirement of games? I've got a feeling you may disappointment a few folk on here.

I'd agree , I'd say both good squads which is better is marginal for me.

Open goal??? The linesman has had his flag up for some time "Actual football" , you just didn't notice lol.

Sorry Durhampie and I were talking actual football and I was trying to get him to answer a question but he's got himself in a right mess after his big statement. I think he's trying desperately not to say anything positive lol

At least we've now learnt that you've progressed to some kind of level of awareness realising that everyone is bored of your repeated questions#handbagsthread

It's baby steps but it's steps in the right direction

So no honest answer, just more cowardly evasion. I'd better leave it there, but I'll add this quote of yours for comedy effect:
