Yes, sorry to hear that Nez. My Dad had a fairly unique married life in that he celebrated Silver Wedding Anniversaries with my Mum and with his 2nd love after my Mum died. I think I was better suited to spending 2 years each with 25 wives

I've got a world Cup Willie scrap book full of colour photos of the world Cup plus a tournament programme and a final programme. Wish I'd thought to get some signatures before they passed.

My first ever scrap book was a World Cup Willie one jake. I just stuck any old pictures in there but three pictures from the local star newspaper that I stuck in are of our disallowed "goal" against Manchester United when the ball was stuck in the mud out of the reach of Harry Gregg with Les Chappell running in to put the ball into an empty net. The referee Jack Taylor ruled the goal out for some reason and it's been a talking point ever since.

Once owned the entire Texaco 1970 World Cup card, light metal in design and every young lad wanted one. It took me ages to get it filled.
I use to hang around the garage on Herringthorpe Valley Road asking drivers if they were saving the coins and if not could I please have them.
Many were very obliging and you ended up with loads of copies and having to take them to school for swaps. Think I sold it for £3...ouch!

On a wall in a room at home I have a fully signed 96 entire Millers team with the Autowinshields trophy. I believe it's the only one in existence that's fully signed, I may be wrong.

Somewhere in a tin/box/cupboard, I have a set of tungsten darts once owned by the late World Champion John Lowe. He was in the Cranworth Hotel (now demolished) on Fitzwilliam Road. He was on one of his 'champion' appearance nights and the pub was crammed to the rafters such was his popularity at the time. I paid a £1 for a raffle ticket and was the winner of said prize.

Football shirts. I have quite a few from way back when. The silver and black zebra striped (87/88?), the yellow and black zebra striped, one of my favourites that one. The Black and blue diagonal striped one, very classy that one and like I say multiple others from over the years.

I think all the petrol stations must have done something for the 1970 World Cup as there's also an Esso coin collection. I thought National did little ivory (plastic) 'busts' of the players but couldn't find any reference to them on eBay.

As a kid I remember having a West Ham Pennant on my bedroom wall which featured the '66 trio from the club. It must have been really rare or really crap because again I can't find any on eBay. Whilst looking I did come across someone asking 99.99 for an RUFC 2020-21 pennant signed by the full squad including "Freddie Ladapo and George Hirst". I gave that one a miss.

....I also had those plastic busts of players but can't for the life of me think where I use to get them from. I don't know why, but after football I'm sure I started collecting other busts and recall having William Shakespeare in there????
