No, we will have Costa back, so all will be well.

That really would be time to switch to supporting a rugby team.

Bit like swapping a Ferrari for a Robin Reliant.

Feel so sorry for Bamford but if they don’t sign a back up this summer ……..

The press release about Bamford having this problem for 12 months and a tear in the ligament last summer makes the decision not to recruit a back up striker even more senseless.

That coupled with Orta’s recent pearls of wisdom around have a squad of no more than 18 first players and his belief he seems to have found a new formula makes me more annoyed how they treated Bielsa.

To steal a phrase from the construction industry they valued engineered the squad too much and when it broke they blamed the coach.

Also if we sell Phillips we are supposed to be buying a championship player Flynn Downs as a replacement - looks like they are about to screw over Jesse M too.

I think Orta has done okay but this strategy suggests he and not Bielsa should have gone over the lack of players signed last summer and in January. If Orta’s hand were tied then it points at Radz and the 49ers.

For once, I would be happy with a semblance of doing things the normal way at the club!

I suspect that if we stay up the 49's will buy us out and bring in their own management team. They will likely not subscribe to the "small squad" theory. American Football has huge rosters and often use most them during the course of a season.

They will almost be playing on "house money" if they sell Raph, get the bumped up TV money (100 million+) and, heaven forbid sell KP.

Very worried on the obsession on Aaronson. From what I've observed a lot of German players don't do well in the prem. The Austrians run a very similar style of play. 30 million is a whole lot of money for an injured and unproven player at the prem level.

I guess one saving grace is that we'll have some U-23's blooded under serious relegation pressure by that time and some money to spend in the transfer window. Maybe the yanks will be better at getting signings over the line.

Can't understand why orta stated that out loud. whether he's going to do it or not there was no reason to say it.

Aaronson is a complete and absolute waste of time and money, move on.
