We could start (if we have a club) next season with no manager or 1st team, and -15 points. Can't wait!
That started to creep into his interviews several weeks ago. He needs to know what's what. What's his budget for next season? He won't know until he gets facts from the new owner. Which League will we be in? Do we start with 0 or -15? Will the deal allow him to offer out of contract players new contracts? How much does he have to spend on pre season (stay local or elsewhere, maybe even abroad)? Can he pay transfer or loan fees? Is there still a wage cap of £4500 a week? Would that apply to the likes of Lawrence?

Without that knowledge he is hogtied and can't make any plans. We'd be starting the closed season not knowing what we can do and probably still be a step or two behind the rest when the season starts. He's already indicated that's not something he'd want/accept. No clarity soon and he's off. Try getting someone else in under those circumstances...... Billy D anybody

It would be the perfect gig for the return of Nigel (C not P) as no-one would have any expectations of us or him next season. Made still more poignant if Appleby consortium is named preferred bidder. And also Rattea would cream his jeans in satisfaction, although that might not be such good news for his dry cleaner

As you suggest, MA...you can’t really blame him and any pressure Rooney can apply can only really be helpful, even though we don’t want to hear it.
Any serious future owner would surely be making every effort to keep him, otherwise you have to doubt their commitment.
Regarding ‘Billy D’...I’m supposing the ‘grinning face’ tells everyone how you really feel...for me, any combination of Morris and Davies would have me off to Buxton FC, Macclesfield or Matlock Town.

Not a bad alternative. 1-0 to you.
