There is a wild theory out there that no one is alive. The theory is that in the moment before you die, they know it as fact that you create memories. They also know that the brain continues to function after death. People talk about that as us remembering the past (life flashing before eyes) but some thinkers out there believe that given that time is relative, life could be created by a thought.

How would you know what is thought and what is memory? Then you get into the whole paradox of needing life for thought but thought can create life.

Can’t help but feel that it’s a Christopher Nolan movie in the making…

Thought maketh the man, not man maketh the thought!
The use of the mind whilst alive determines the state you enter before death.
Make every thought count while alive and fill it with love and happiness.......

Eventually he awoke from the operation which lasted nearly 8 hours and was told that they lost him on two occasions. They discovered he was riddled with cancer and just patched him up to send him home to die. With hindsight it would have been kinder to him to have gone on to the light as the next five months was watching him starving to death as he could not swallow anything due to the tumour blocking his oesophagus. However it did give him time to put his house in order and get married at home so his partner would have no problems inheriting their house etc.
Are you sure it was this partner “calling him back” Joy?

Seems she got the best end of the deal!😏🤣

On the topic but slightly off, as a kid about 10 was on my bike riding down our road one evening and saw the neighbour from 2 doors up standing by his porch just looking ahead, no usual acknowledgment of me, went in my house and saw the neighbours son in law in the house and remarked I had just seen the neighbour outside his house only to be told he died of a heart attack that evening. Now I don’t believe in ghosts but would love someone to explain what I saw?

My own dad was on a walk with my mum on a summers evening in Harrogate when they were courting and he remarked to my mum about the church bells that were ringing and how wonderful they were.

Mum thought he was going nuts and told him she couldn’t hear a thing.

The next day he received a message telling him his beloved grandfather had died the night before up in Durham, his last words were....

“Ahh.....those bells, aren’t they lovely” and he died as his sentence faded away.

Nobody else in the room could hear any bells.

When they all got together and spoke about his passing and they tied the time of death up with my dad hearing bells it was as near as they could tell to the same time.

My dad didn’t believe in god or ghosts etc but he was adamant it was some sort of connection based on their closeness.

The only strange thing that I personally can claim to is that I have a history of dreaming just once about a famous person and very shortly afterwards they die.

Michael Jackson was the last one so I’ve had a bit of a gap but I went through a period when it happened quite regularly.

There is lots we have learned about the human body over the ages and the mind to.
But perhaps all this knowledge only highlights how little we do know.

A bit like knowledge on the Cosmos. We only realize now with knowledge we have accrued....how little we know.
Hard to fathom knowledge with a closed mind.
    Ignorance is never far away..
