    War Crimes in Ukraine

Hundreds of bodies found in liberated towns with gun shots in back of heads - bodies feet and hands tied and bodies burnt!

What’s the difference between this and Hitler massacring all the Jews?

Every sanction available should be made and all oil stopped immediately which feeds their war machine. I personally think the West need to intervene regardless of the consequences!

It’s obvious what Russia are trying to do - cut off the complete coast and create a land corridor!

Putin needs to be hanged as do his generals!

If you look at the footage (not TV censored) on other sites....and put it in black and white...it looks like scenes from the WWII.
As bad as atrocities in Syria, Yemen, Bosnia, Afghanistan,Vietnam and more horrendous wars.

Putin is a war criminal that China and Saudi Arabia and India and other lesser states subscribe to. They can not condem these actions because they secretly harbour the same.
An arrest warrant should be issued by the international law court....

And these images SHOULD be shown on TV and not blurred out. These are real people who gave been murdered en mass by a pychopat.....

    Exactly Al.
    Even wars 20 years a go...were just that....20 years a go.
We have gained so much knowledge in the last 20 years that it makes it all the harder to accept in 2022......unless your brain cells haven't really evolved in that time..
Not just dinosaurs in football management....but dinosaurs leading nuclear capable countries.....
They never went extinct....they just transitioned to look like humans...but inside???
    Nothing...

The problem is that even when this is over-which looks a way off yet-unless Putin is overthrown by the Russians themselves, he will not be bought to justice for the war crimes committed under his command and I doubt very much that Russia will be forced to pay the immense amount in reparations needed to repair the damage wreaked in Ukraine either.

What is important now is to keep documenting these crimes and keep Ukraine in the headlines so that this is not forgotten about. I know there are many other atrocities being committed elsewhere in the world too but, selfish as it is, this conflict more directly impacts on both the UK and, arguably, global stability.

Glad to hear both BJ talking of supplying more military aid as well as Germany. If Russia can be denied its land bridge to Crimea then the focus will be on the Eastern provinces where there may be the potential to end the war, although this may see the border redrawn and parts of Donetsk and Luhansk ceded to Russia.

What is being witnessed in Bucha and elsewhere cannot be forgotten though and somehow Ukraine and the West must find a way of getting Putin to pay for the crimes committed in his name

Sloadon Milosovitch of Serbia and other seemingly untouchables ended up behind bars.
Many of the old leaders of communist east Europe thought they would escape justice......but they didn't and boy....did they look small when in court.....
Putin is not untouchable and his biggest weakness is that he thinks he is........but these are humanity crimes. If you are human...then this will have to be addressed...one way or another......

When this invasion started I assumed that the might of the Russian forces would simply and quickly overwhelm the Ukrainian forces and it would quickly be over and so would the suffering.
That’s not to dismiss the pain of a nation subjected by an oppressive neighbour not at all. For me Ukraine was lost and the west needed to draw a thick red line and prepare for the next chapter of Putins aggression.

The situation now is that Some countries Germany, France, and USA are of the opinion that Ukraine should seek a peace deal, give Putin the south and east. Their view is that Putin needs to frame his failed invasion as some sort of victory. This would provide an end to the war, after all the east was pro-Russian anyway. I understand this viewpoint and it was my view as well. Compromises needed to be made. The lights would stay on in Germany, Macron could get back to his campaigning and Joe could enjoy his afternoon naps again.

BUT, now my position has hardened. Appeasing Putin is a big mistake. Without removing Putin all he will do is regroup and his military will learn from their mistakes. He will come again, again and again. The only way is to stop him in his tracks.

I do feel there is an opportunity now. It all looks like both opposing forces will be going head to head in the east. If the west were to support the Ukrainians with far more potent weapons NOW ( not just light arms) there is a real chance that the Russian advance will stall again and be pushed back.
This total failure would seriously damage Putins reputation and is potentially a way to remove him.

Totally agree with you! Sad as it sounds it can't be an ( i'm OK Jack ) scenario and if it's WW3 with the consequences then that's the way it will be.

I hope those Russian soldiers who massacred those civilians are hung from the highest trees and their parents get to know what scum they have brought into the world. Killing defensive civilians is absolutely shocking. In fact it's so bad, I won't let our 14 year old watch the news!

After watching tonight's news I was heartbroken watching this poor woman who had personally just buried her only son. She was desolate and alone. Words can't describe my feelings towards Putin and the atrocities performed in his name by Russian soldiers. If there is a God surely Putin will answer for this.
