Ahhh yes that's what a very special few thought Ardley would have Notts in this league#agenda. Those crazy guys lol.
Instead as you know he was occasionally in what you would call 'midtable' but mainly in a playoff position in both seasons.

Same applies at Solihull. He just doesn't follow the script

More importantly, a "very special few" thought Ardley would have us in the relegation places in the league above. Some of us at a very early stage in his tenure. At least one of us managed to pay for a season ticket or two by putting our money where our mouth is.

    "Those crazy guys lol".

Ardley hasn't achieved anything at Solihull as yet.IB is in the process of steering us into a play off position possibly top 3
I could see the validity if this was posted once the season had finished so we could to try and make a comparison, but as it stands Ardley achieved nothing with us and the same with Solihull.
As it stands IB has achieved nothing with us but is work in progress. As I've said before IB is a promising coach and time will tell if he can be a successful one. Making that step up will include learning lessons from the performance and defeat at teams like Torquay.
    This is spot on.

No you didn't, where did you say that? And if you split the league into thirds, 9-16 is mid table so 18th isn't relegation and not that far off "mid-table" is it, but you're a pedant who forgets what they've even said so...

Also, you're yet to counter anything I said, perhaps because you can't, not your fault, but do keep quiet when the grown ups are talking

And it’s sad you’ve resorted to personal insults.

Happy to accept your apology, but not expecting you to own your error.

His record even after the transfer window would have had us finish 18th that season. Sol’s record was mid table. He had a much smaller squad, and players that weren’t getting paid.

We really need to not keep re-writing history.

NA like all other managers that season underperformed with the squad and resources they had.

That squad should not have finished 18th let alone been relegated.
I think the fact he had over 30 pros signed by 3 different mangers and half probably moping around didn’t help, then good old big AL trying to get Nolan back in Feb and players knew (stated by Les Brad), then shames the club, then puts the club up for sale probably didn’t help. I don’t agree with they should have been 18th or above, where are those players now, certainly not many were successfully playing in the league the season after.

Putting aside the Ardley / Burch comparisons third place has gone. We would have to win three more games than 3rd, 4th and 5th to get there, with only seven games left, they won't all slip up.
We're on course to be worse than last season losing home playoff advantage, which was worse than our first season where we started in a semi final spot.
Recruitment, the masterplan, managers, the style of football, whatever the reason year on year we're measurably going backwards.
I'd take fifth now if offered.

Agree, that some think we’ll make 3rd is bizarre, NA and Solihull are in a better position to achieve that ironically. Friday worries me, if we don’t get a result the knives could be out for IB.

A significant number came down with us. So it’s hardly a fair stat. And relegated players are usually out of form so rarely plucked for higher levels.

How many were playing at that level or above the season before? I’ll give you a clue, nearly all of them.

The club was a shambles. But all three managers should have done better than 18th with that lot. The bookies certainly thought we’d do better than 18th. Didn’t you?

So even with a bit below below average management, where do you think they should have been?

You don't agree with 18th, so what's your number?
