Pardew - off to manage again

Is branching out again - off to Bulgaria to do some managing it looks like.

Alan Pardew is close to becoming the new CSKA Sofia manager, according to the latest reports. Sky Sports claim the former Newcastle boss is in talks over a short term contract with the club, two years since his last managerial role.

The former Magpies boss has been the technical director at the club for the last 18 months but is going to take over from Stoycho Mladenov who resigned from his position as manager today. The former CSKA boss claimed he didn't have enough control over transfer policy.

Pardew is believed to have taken control of first team training today and will be in charge of Sunday's game against Levski Sofia. It's expected the former Toon boss will take charge for the remainder of the season as they search for a replacement.

    Unlucky for CSKA

His recent 'bogging up' of our club in the media, whilst appreciated, hasn't changed my opinion of him as a manager-or a man-one iota.

Ditto. He's still a nerd as far as football management is concerned and always will be.

His problem has always been that he has a much-overrated opinion of his own actual under-ability.

He hee. He only ever had one plan B - bring on Shola for the last 10 minutes and lump it forward. Never worked once!
