10 years ago yesterday, Luton Town drew 0-0 with Alfreton Town. The most recent visitors to Kenilworth Road in the league were Hayes & Yeading and they were below Kidderminster, Southport and York in the table.

Where will Notts be a decade from now?

Charlie still talking about 3rd place. Stallard thinks that's probably beyond us now.
I'd take 5th if offered now.

I agree with Mark Stallard I think 3rd place is beyond us despite winning today.

We have six games left and are seven points behind Halifax. Win all our remaining games and we finish on 85 points. At best I’d say we could finish on max 82/83. I doubt in all our long history we’ve never had to play a side like Dover twice when they have already been relegated. They are not going down with a whimper. Any of these remaining games has the potential to be a banana skin as we are expected to win the lot.

Halifax only need to win three of their last six and they finish on 85 points.

We also have to remember Solihull and Cheaterfurlough are 5 and 3 points ahead of us so we need to better their results as well as Halifax having a blip means any of these two can take advantage.

On paper we have an easy run in but this game isn’t played on paper. As much as I want to be proven wrong the odds of us finishing 3rd are stacked against us. It’s not impossible, but like you I’d take 5th now.
