I also can not see the logic in sacking Billy Mercer. He has coached some excellent goalkeeper in the last few years.

Unfortunately we will never know what has gone on behind the scene at Turf Moor.

We will never hear what Sean thinks. His contract will be paid up but there will be a gag clause in it preventing him from commenting. And he is a gentleman who would not dream of saying a bad word about his employers

Absolutely stunned to learn Sean.had been sacked
This has got to go down as the worst decision a Burnley board has made with only 8 games left..That seals our relegation now..

This is a sad day for SD and BFC but given recent games it was probably enivitable. All that said please not ALLERDYCE his reputation is disgraceful I say stay well away. What we now need is someone who has influence in the wider game a person who can draw in players with quality although may be not getting what they probably deserve.

    .

should Not be doing this so far into the season - they (Pace et al) knew his game and went along with it, it hasn't changed any, they knew he/Burnley were struggling, all season....so why not make the change earlier ?....and with only 8 games remaining, its an upset they'd have to be sure they can calm, that the improvement is immediately massive - we'll see....but was is for sure - if we go down, S.D may have gone, but it he who sent us there, and if we did somehow manage to stay up....it wasn't because of him.

I’m not sure that’s true tbh , many go
On saying he’s a long ball man but after watching WBA last time he was employed it was a lot better football than we’ve been subject to

So short term or long term I’m not sure you’re disgraceful comment is correct.

Sean Dyche is/was the best manager in the premier league, keeping Burnley in the
premier league, working on a shoe string, after gaining promotion.
The club have not backed Dyche in the transfer market, while money has poured
into the coffers, from being a premier club, television rights etc.
The club sold their best striker Chris Wood to Newcastle United, a player needed to
offer Burnley a chance of avoiding relegation, with little recruitment to fight another
    season relegation battle.
Sean Dyche signed a 4 year contract in 2021 at Burnley, whether there is a clause in
the contract, that states if he gets another club, he doe not get a full payout, if so
he may take respite, & take up another club later.
Bad that ex-Miller Billy Mercer loses his job also.

Sean Dyche leaving Burnley, is a big loss to football.

    From a Rotherham United fan

Well tbh you haven’t watched what I’ve watched this season so you don’t really know.

The timing might not be ideal in many’s eyes but it was inevitable imo anyway.

What an unbelievable decision from the Burnsley owners!. 😲

But now that its happened, who do you want as a long term replacement, and who do you think you'll end up with ?.
