I was pleased to see some players ‘dropped’ salt buddy, albeit indeed there was little improvement in quality. I felt there was a better team spirit as evidenced by an extended salute to the crowd by a number of players.
I thought Philips showed some energy, albeit the final ball was poor.
To be fair I also thought Button did enough.
Certainly we need to secure Clarke permanently…potential skipper ?

Totally agree with you about Clarke!! Molumby not good enough in my view and Livermore was past it two years ago!! Robinson like a complete pansy at Cinderella’s party and Diangana comes a close second!

I get that ,but if there's nothing on for him our movement off the ball is shocking.
But he one of the few players who can control the ball, then run with it or pass it. High pass rate and much better than Mowat.
Good to see O Shea back, just needs game time to get up to speed.

I think there’s a lot to admire about Andy Carroll.

I watched his goal a few times on replay, he wins the initial but and spreads it wide and then look at his pace and desire to attack the middle of the six yard box.

He’s almost impossible to stop when he attacks an aerial ball at pace.

I love the way he heads straight between the sticks, proper centre forward play.

Reach’s cross was also an absolute gem.

Carroll would be my first signing for next season.

Since he came in he has been the only one that seems to have shown any real passion in each game....I understand he believed he was finishing his career at Newcastle......but when I look at his positioning either in attack or defending...I conclude...there is more goals in him and he seems to be enjoying his game time....

Totally agree. 10 out of 10 for his desire, compassion and commitment!

The problem is we might have to get rid of Zahore first to afford to offer him a contract which might be to late.
