I hope these Damned Yankees really know what they are doing.

    Sadly, I think not.

We lost at Brentford on March 2nd, we had taken just one point from the last 4 games and scored just the one goal in those 4 games, alarm bells were ringing, the writing was on the wall, and there were three weeks to our next game. If a change of manager was being contemplated then that was the time to do it, three weeks for a new management team to get bedded in and work with the players, then 11 games left to keep us up.

But they did nothing, they left Dyche in charge until two days before the West Ham game and then Southampton coming up four days later. So the new manager won't have 8 games to keep us up, and unless they move quickly he wont have 7, or even 6. If this is an example of their planning, I dread to think what they could do acting off the cuff.

Sam Allardyce and Wayne Rooney are the early frontrunners to succeed Dyche and Jackson revealed he has been given no indication of how long he will be at the helm. “No, all we have been asked to do is prepare the lads for the game on Sunday,” he added. “Our full focus is to make sure the group is ready for Sunday.”
    Nooooooooooooo!

Never mind all of this old bollox talking about an exiting and incoming manager of Burnley Football Club, are we sustainable?

I suppose by reducing the gates back down to the 80s level of around 3,000, we can reduce our carbon footprint. We're well on our way to achieving that goal now.

I thought that was going to be about financial sustainability, good to see they've got their priorities right.

The players will not have forgotten how to play football overnight and will be able to recite Dyche’s tactics in their sleep - they have not changed for years.

Based upon the results and performances this year - criticised by many on here who are now bemoaning his departure - I cannot see how we would not be relegated had he been kept on. The win against Everton was great, but look at the Norwich performance!

Jackson is suggesting no change in style and tactics. However, I am hoping that we now see the best of both Cornet and Weghorst. I believe that they were stifled by the “Burnley Way”. They are both capable of scoring, unlike JayRod and Barnes. Vydra deserves a chance with some pace upfront.

The biggest problem is midfield and the inability to keep the ball, pass and assist. I think it was ClaretinBudapest who came up with the dismal stats on Brownhill and Westwood. Could Cork and Stephens be any worse?

I think sacking Dyche gives us a chance to avoid the drop.
