He shouldn’t have been appointed in the first place we are no further forward his inexperience and naivety has been more illuminating than anything. If we miss out on the playoffs I’ll gladly drive him home with the stuff from his desk, if we fail in the playoffs I think he should be given another season on the proviso that he and the Reedtz brothers wake up to what’s needed to get out this league and implement it for next season, no dicking about with ‘lucky dip’ players, promotion should be the only goal and it needs to be said, it’s easy to say it’s great that the brothers don’t say much but by the same token it’s even easier for them to hide and bottle away from saying anything when things aren’t achieved. I really don’t think I can go through another season of watching this dross.

The voice of someone who contributes nothing to the club and sees nothing, which in reality is no loss and means nothing. You obviously haven’t absorbed what a lot of us who went on Friday said in the match thread.

I don't care whether someone went or didn't on Friday , anyone who still doubts whether we will reach the playoffs today can't be taken too seriously.

Fortunately judging by the attendance on Friday and throughout the season many many people seem happy to pay to watch "Dross" so anyone choosing not to go anymore wont be too badly missed.

Who said we wouldn’t make the play offs? I’ve said on many occasion recently I’m very confident we will be in them, as I’ve said before if you weren’t there to see it then you are in no position to comment (and that includes me too) and unfortunately it just makes non attendees comments guesses at best. I’ll be there on Saturday against Weymouth will you?

Exactly KTD, that's been my view and counterpoint to the rumour mill , gossiping and needless scaremongering all along.

Let me stress I still have no idea what actually happened how much was due to something done by the player in question or how much was down to injury/illness/form of the team at the time. Tbh I didn't care.

If the former then he was disciplined correctly by being frozen out of the first team squad (which didn't extend to the England C call up, that would have been very petty by the club and self defeating) . That's a message to not only the player but the squad as a whole that it won't be tolerated. If that upsets Average Joe on FB or NCM so be it.

I'd understand the fans uproar more if we weren't on an impressive little unbeaten run winning 3 of 4 at the time.

The strangest part in all this was the common attitude I saw of 'We need to know the truth', 'we deserve to know what has happened, why won't the club just tell us'!!? Why? It happens up and down the country at clubs every single season, professional well run clubs keep it in house and deal with it privately. Sir Alex Ferguson and Man United being the prime example.

Some people clearly have a different mentality to things like this in society in general. I blame increased social media and exposure of celebrity. Or maybe they just need a hobby or two.
You keep bringing Alex Ferguson into this discussion which again is a strange thing to do because for about the fifth time, ALEX FERGUSON WOULDN’T HAVE LET A PLAYER PLAY IN A REPRESENTATIVE GAME WHILE HE WASN’T BEING PICKED FOR THE CLUB SIDE, ESPECIALLY IF HE WAS CLAIMING THAT PLAYER WAS ILL OR INJURED. Indeed Ferguson was famed for pulling his players out of international squads for no reason.

Citing societal reasons as to why football fans would be curious about why a star player isn’t playing for the team they support and in many cases spend lots of money on is just weird. Burchnall hasn’t been strengthened by all this, he’s just been made to look shifty and evasive.

On the playing side of things, despite his excellent goal I still think Cal looked a bit lost on Friday, and we don’t really know how to use him to get the best out of him. Hopefully that gets better through the rest of the season.

Agree, and I think it goes back to the same discussion of playing RR and CR in the same team effectively.

In my opinion both Cal and Rodders are at their best when at the start of the game they play where Burchy's put them. As the game progresses and the enemy think they've got Notts weighed up, then allow them to run free-ish.
